On Nitro
A: pours a yellowish copper color, with a great creamy white head that leads to outstanding lacing.
S: big draws of citrus brought on by the hops. Small hints of sweetness, almost like butterscotch. Very clean and crisp.
T: very smooth and very creamy. hints of oranges with subtle hop flavors. great sweetness delivered from the malts. Light flavor of creamy butterscotch. Absolutely delicious.
M: Very creamy and smooth leaves the mouth craving for more. so many complex flavors, but it doesn’t shock the palate, it pleases it. extremely well-balanced.
D: Warning: you can easily drink 8 pints of this rather quickly. It is so smooth. Great job Alan Pugsley
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 sailracer (190) - Massachusetts, USA - FEB 11, 2011
On tap. Pours a medium brown. The hops are overpowering for my tastes and make the beer pretty bitter overall. It mellowed a little bit as I worked my way through it, but the initial taste was very hoppy.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 glennmastrange (1547) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - DEC 9, 2010
Tap. Aromas of roasted, pine and some dried fruit with spices. Head is small, frothy, white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear reddish amber. Flavor starts faintly sweet and a little acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a lively carbonation and a lightly dry finish. A pretty good amber, but just about them same as every other middle of the road amber.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Teege (375) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JAN 26, 2010
Nitrogen draft at redlight redlight. I had this one as the Shipyard Nitro. Not a bad session beer. Pours amber with a tight white creamy head. Notes of caramel and very subtle hints of hop in the background. The flavor is smooth. Not very complex but a nice balance of sweet and bitter. Great creamy mouth-feel.

Medium brown head. Opaque black body with dark brown edges. Roasty licorice and coke aroma. Dry licorice, chocolate, and coffee taste with soy notes. Light body. Dry roasty soy and burnt grain aftertaste. It’s OK, I guess. (0.65l bottle, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)
