3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle). Aroma is a mild and sweet malt. Hazy copper complexion with long-lasting thick white head. Nice semi-sweet malt flavor that is easy to session. This could be a fine English pub ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Strong cinnamon flavor in this ale. I wish there was a little more going on, but it’s pretty one note.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. $0.99 crap bin at the local beer store. Why the hell not. Pours deep amber with thin off white head. Smell is big caramel, dark fruits, cherries, rich malt. Taste is similar with a cherry that rides out, even a slight tartness to the finish. Pretty sure this is about 9 months old, but it is drinking pretty nice right now. And what the fuck its only a buck.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber to chestnut body with a one finger frothy beige head that retained as a thin covering. The nose is malt driven with a lot of biscuity and slightly sweet caramel malt. Just a light bit of English hops. One of the better aromas from a Shipyard beer. The flavor is really a pretty good attempt at making a beer that doesn’t scream butter bomb like most Shipyard offerings. Somewhat sweet up front with just a light touch of their ’house’ character if you want to call it that. Finishes with a light touch of English hops, some nutty malt, and a little burnt caramel. Medium bodied with a slight clinginess on the finish. This isn’t all that bad.
