Completely clear, amber color with an immediately fading head. Pumpkin and a little bit of cinnamon with a lager-ish aroma. Flavor was a little better than I was expecting, actually. Not overly pumpkiny but it’s definitely there. Palate was weak. Way too thin.

Dec 29, 2009 Pours a hazy golden-orange color with a dense foamy white head. Aroma is reminiscent of apple cider with a good dose of cinnamon, mild grainy nose, sweet overall nose and ends with a nutmeg and allspice type of spiciness. Flavor starts off kinda watery as a whole, spices are there but don’t present a good presence. Flavor again reminds me of a mildly spiced apple cider with the beer being a bit dryer but still carrying a pronounced cinnamon flavor to go with the mild grainy and noble hop spicy ending of the brew. Beer has a very low body but has a high fine carbonation creating a smooth feeling within your mouth. Overall the aroma is good while the flavors are a bit weak but I would much rather have this to the over spiced brew.

Dec 25, 2009 This beer was a little too spicy for my taste had a very bitter aftertaste. Poured with a dark color and had a pleasant aroma with a hint of pumpkin and cinnamon in it. Not the best from shipyard

Dec 17, 2009 Bottle from Shipyard variety 12-pack. Pours a nice looking orange color with an off-white head. Lots of pumkin, nutmeg and cinnamon in the aroma. The flavor is more subdued than the aroma, but still very nice. Quite easy to drink and not too filling.

Dec 2, 2009 12 oz Bottle -- Pours light orange with an off-white head. Heavy aromas of cinnamon and pumpkin. The spice if very mellow and pleasant. The sweetness and light body make for a refreshing alternative to other heavier pumpkin beers.

Nov 28, 2009 Thanks to skyview for sharing. Smells OK. Who doesn’t like the smell of pumpkin pie or pastry? Pours a thin, pale beer with a light quickly dissipating head. Initial cider notes give way to the thin spice and pumpkin flavors. There isn’t much here and I wouldn’t go back for more than the tasting size sample I had.

Nov 25, 2009 On tap at the Warren Tavern, Georgetown (Boston) MA, October 2009. Bags of cinnamon. Some odd raisiny fruit. Just the sort of Pumpkin beer I struggle with. Underpowered and over-spiced. Not enough other stuff going on to counteract the spicing. Thin mouthfeel. Not my thing at all. But then I’m not really a big fan of pumpkin beers at the best of times.
