You have to get this beer fresh. The blueberry taste will fade over time, same as Smashed Pumpkin. It’s mostly Porter like when taking a sip, but the finish is a good blueberry jam like flavor. You need to get it fresh.

A lot of blueberry in the aroma, with some sweet/molasses, and a tiny bit of alcohol. Berry, sweet/caramel flavor, with mild roasted malt. Pretty strong berry aftertaste.

This poured a blueish orange color with a pinkish head. Aroma was fresh blueberry pancakes. Flavor was similar, grainy cake taste too, a little too sweet or this would be top notch.

A 1 pint bottle from Sweden. Conserved in the fridge for a day after resting for several months. Pours dark opaque with a small viscose head lasting through the first quarter of the glass, leaving partial lace. The rich aroma is dominated by overripe blueberries but there is some malt hidden in the background. This is a medium- to full-bodied porter-ale with a very enjoyable mouthfeel : blueberries are great, tart, fruit pudding, chocolate, malt and slightly bitter.... a pastry edge comes to mind after every sip. Aftertaste lingers on and consists of soft chocolate mousse and overripened blueberries. ABV pretty well-masked in the flavor but one still feels the strength. Thank God. Yummy!

65 cl bottle, 9%. Dark brown to almost black color, thick creamy brownish head. Peculiar smell right off the cap, then chocolate and fruit. Aroma is chocolate, dark chocolate with a pungent blueberry aftertaste. Taste is well balanced, fruity sweetness and dark chocolate bitterness, hops stays behind. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, absolutely tasty and to be tried once.

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. Big blueberry aroma and flavor. The aroma is loaded with chocolate notes, grainy malts, and of course blueberries. The flavor is rich chocolate, blueberry, some fruity esters. The blueberry dominates. If the base was not rich with chocolate this would have been Footbalmed. This is a berry forward chocolaty beer.

Pours a dark black with tan head. Has a sweet stout aroma. Taste starts with coffee and a hint of chocolate, but blueberries are apparent towards the end. Blueberries and coffee linger on your tongue.

Dark reddish brown. Very pleasant aroma of blueberries and blackberries. Blueberries are the main event in the flavor profile, too, but not overpowering or too sweet. So tasteful. Really liked this.

Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – The beer is served a super and surprisingly dark brownish blue color with a one finger head of tan colored foam. The head has a decent level of retention, fading to leave a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer massive of a blueberry smell. The blueberry is rather authentic with it giving a rather nice chocolate covered blueberry (with emphasis on the blueberry) smell when mixed with the lighter roasted, cocoa and coffee notes of the beer. Taste – The taste begins with a big showing of a roasted malt and cocoa flavor with a rather strong showing of blueberry as well. The taste is drier upfront, but as the flavor advances, more and more blueberry flavor comes to the tongue sweetening up the brew a bit. As the blueberry upfront was of a more authentic flavor, as it intensifies more later in the taste profile, it takes on a more blueberry syrup nature. While the blueberry intensifies so too does the cocoa tastes, leaving a rather thick chocolate covered blueberry flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thicker and more syrupy side with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. For the chocolate covered blueberry flavors of the brew both were fantastic creating a very dessert like feel. Overall – Not overly sweet with a good blend of chocolate and blueberry, all while hiding the 9 % abv rather well. This is an interesting one and a good one to try.

Smelled pretty great but the flavor was lacking. Not the best blueberry beer.
