3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from 7-11: WTF? Yea so I finally bought this beer after years of passing it up and it’s only because it was $7.99 and not over $10 like most liquor stores are trying to charge. The aroma is a rich blend of assorted spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger with just a touch of caramel malts. The flavor is deep with flavors of pumpkin pie that brings out memories of eating slice of pumpkin pie during autumn. I was impressed and I’m glad I finally got around to sharing a bottle with my girlfriend.

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: OCT 22, 2013 Tap: muddled copper, light translucency with a beige head that’s gone in moments. Aroma is heavy nutmeg & cinnamon, hints of gingerbread cookie, & some light florals. Taste contains more gingerbread, cinnamon, & nutmeg. I get some strange notes of bubblegum & light phenol, almost like Belgian yeasty with some darker fruitiness. Almost like a back-end dubbel with nutmeg & cinnamon. Finishing phenol, ginger, cinnamon, & toast. Smells great, taste is a huge let down. Still better than Pumpkinhead, though, based on smell alone.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Aroma of malts and light cinnamon. Its almost like a typical amber ale aroma. Across the palate it’s mostly smooth with a little dry on the finish. This is a great beer that has some solid pumpkin pie characteristics that don’t come through till it’s on your tongue. It’s not overbearing, its just added seasonal deliciousness. Great pumpkin beer.

This is pretty much what you get with a serious love of pumpkin pie and beer. If you want to drink a pie (including a buttery crust) than have one of these. Or have two and then tell your family how you really feel. Happy holiday

Bomber at Anodyne. Pretty strong pumpkin flavors, but it seemed kinda fake. Too sweet, but not horribly so.

Draft. Hazy bright amber color, medium white head. Aroma of clove, cinnamon, gourd. Taste is sweet and malty, caramel mixed spice. Nice velvety, rich mouthfeel, not too much alcohol.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - 625ml. Pours a copper body with a thin white foamy/bubbly head. Decent malty aroma with pumpkin, hoppy, and nutmeg hints. Alcohol is very well hidden. Taste carries pumpkin, spicy (black pepper), and cinnamon notes. Ends with a warming bittersweet finish. Not bad, but I was expecting a little bit more.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle. Pours an orange color with white head. Light pumpkin, grainy malt, caramel aromas. Strong medicinal pumpkin flavors. Yuck, I should have skipped this one.
