Smashed Pumpkin is a big-bodied beer with a light coppery orange color and pleasing aroma of pumpkin and nutmeg. The OG and final Alc./Vol. provide the structure and body. Pale Ale, Wheat and Light Munich Malts combine with the natural tannin in pumpkin and the delicate spiciness of Willamette and Hallertau Hops to balance the sweetness of the fruit. To fully enjoy all the flavors, this ale is best drunk at 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Smashed Pumpkin pairs well with sharp cheeses, nuts, lamb, hearty stews and desserts like flan or pumpkin pie. Chefs find this an excellent beer to cook with in dishes such as braised short ribs.

aroma of nutmeg and other spices. Pours a deep orange with tan head. This is my favorite pumpkin ale I’ve tried. Blast of nutmeg, some cinnamon and a tinge of pumpkin which is perfect for me. Almost belgiany on the palette. Loved it!

Strong but welcome nutmeg and cinnamon aromas. Quickly dissipating head with no lacing. Flavors seem to get stronger as it moves through the mouth. Nice bitter finish balanced out the sweet flavors. Repeatable until I find something better.

Tap at Pony Bar. Rich pumkin pie nose, meaty malts and flesh, nice spice. Rich and sweet, with lots of piue fulling and spice. Good stuff, but a little too much.

12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours a clear copper color with a thin frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of pumpkin, spice, caramel, vanilla, mild hints of apple and toast. The taste is pumpkin, toasted malt, vanilla, caramel, apple and a strong spice finish. Medium bodied, strong lingering spice. Solid beer.

Deep orange pour. Nose of potpourri and allspice with mashed pumpkin and caramel. Flavor of potpourri spice, real pumpkin, caramel, and light vanilla. Lingering potpourri. Spice is definitely more floral and rustic than most. Different, but good.

On tap at Fraser's. The pour is a nice orange-y gold with a nice thin white head and not really any lace left on the glass. The aroma is definitely strong in pumpkin, with a great spiciness and a solid pumpkin pie quality to it. There is a light malt on the back end, but there are a lot of spicy pumpkin pie notes. The flavor is very similar. More pumpkin, but the spice is a little more drowned out. As it warms, the spiciness comes back to take over a bit. Very good. The mouth feel is a touch light and the carbonation makes it a little creamier than I was expecting. The aftertaste is full of pumpkin and spice, and lingers nicely! Well done ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
