COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Smashed Pumpkin is a big-bodied beer with a light coppery orange color and pleasing aroma of pumpkin and nutmeg. The OG and final Alc./Vol. provide the structure and body. Pale Ale, Wheat and Light Munich Malts combine with the natural tannin in pumpkin and the delicate spiciness of Willamette and Hallertau Hops to balance the sweetness of the fruit. To fully enjoy all the flavors, this ale is best drunk at 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Smashed Pumpkin pairs well with sharp cheeses, nuts, lamb, hearty stews and desserts like flan or pumpkin pie. Chefs find this an excellent beer to cook with in dishes such as braised short ribs.

oured from a 22oz bomber into a Guinness glass A- Light medium amber, lighter than most pumpkin ales I've had. With an aggressive pour a medium off white head forms and dissipates quickly. S- Alcohol. some pumpkin mellowness and low spice profile T- Alcohol and some sour mellowness from the pumpkin. A very low spice character, could actually do with more. The alcohol seems to mellow as it warms. M- Medium heavy O- A pretty good pumpkin beer that could do with less alcohol and more spice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Aroma is pie spice, canned pumpkin, orange zest, vanilla, yeast. Lots of complex flavors, with cinnamon, white chocolate, and raw squash standing out. Remarkably well balanced. Sweet and tangy underneath, finishes dry and fresh. Very long finish with a lingering spice palate. Excellent pumpkin ale. Dangerous at 9%.

650ml bottle pours a medium amber color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is cinnamon and nutmeg with some pumpkin and cereal grains. Taste is a spicy and grassy hop bitterness with cinnamon and nutmeg balanced nicely with a caramel malty sweetness. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. A well crafted fruit beer that is tasty and enjoyable.

Pours an orange color with a white head that dissipates quickly to a white ring. Aroma is heavy cinnamon and allspice. Maybe some nutmeg and a hint of graham cracker. A bit of apple as well. Taste is not great. Tastes like spiced apple cider. Very confusing. Not great.

Strong but welcome nutmeg and cinnamon aromas. Quickly dissipating head with no lacing. Flavors seem to get stronger as it moves through the mouth. Nice bitter finish balanced out the sweet flavors. Repeatable until I find something better.

12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours a clear copper color with a thin frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of pumpkin, spice, caramel, vanilla, mild hints of apple and toast. The taste is pumpkin, toasted malt, vanilla, caramel, apple and a strong spice finish. Medium bodied, strong lingering spice. Solid beer.
