COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Smashed Pumpkin is a big-bodied beer with a light coppery orange color and pleasing aroma of pumpkin and nutmeg. The OG and final Alc./Vol. provide the structure and body. Pale Ale, Wheat and Light Munich Malts combine with the natural tannin in pumpkin and the delicate spiciness of Willamette and Hallertau Hops to balance the sweetness of the fruit. To fully enjoy all the flavors, this ale is best drunk at 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Smashed Pumpkin pairs well with sharp cheeses, nuts, lamb, hearty stews and desserts like flan or pumpkin pie. Chefs find this an excellent beer to cook with in dishes such as braised short ribs.

Intense pumpkin pie aroma. Flavor is on par with aroma, fairly sweet in a medium body. Nice spice, pumpkin flavor. Favorite pumpkin ale thus far. (from notes, bottle)

22oz bomber. Pours a clear amber color with 1/2 finger of head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of allspice, caramel, and hints of pumpkin. Taste is allspice and some caramel upfront, followed by hints of pumpkin and subtle nutmeg.

(bottle - 22 oz) Orange pour with a thin white head. Spicy aroma of cinnamon and lots of nutmeg mixed with a little bit of pumpkin pie spice. Flavor echoes the aroma. Lots of spices with a nice pumpkin pie feel at the end.

Had this on draft at St. John’s the tap room. Orange red pour. Medium white head. Spicy pumkin aroma. Smells awesome. Sweet taste. Too much pumkin. Smell way better than taste

Bottle at home. Pours a great rich orange with very little head. Aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon and slight clove with a slight background of earthy hops. The mouth-feel is a little light for me. The carbonation level is appropriate. Has a great sweetness with little to no bitterness. Without a doubt my favorite pumpkin ale.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass. Light foam that dissipates very quickly to a ring around the edge. The color is a wonderful crystal clear orange. One of the best looking pumpkin ales I’ve seen. Nice scent. Prominent pumpkin and spice. Slightly sweet. The smell is mostly gone after a few minutes. The taste is primarily pumpkin and spice. Somewhat bitter but I can’t tell if it’s hops or the spices. The mouth feel is unusually light for a 9% beer. It drinks almost like a soda. No noticeable alcohol taste. Overall this is a good pumpkin ale but not as good as I expected. Does not stand out in the crowd. The light mouth feel is unusual. **The label is very cool. It alone is enough to convince me to buy it. Very nice work.

Bomber bottle. The aroma is spicy. A good skunk is also present. The appearance is a murky bronze with little to no head. The taste starts into the spice early. Gets sweet malt and cinnamon early then rolls into sugar sweet to finish. The palate is nice. Overall, a good pumpkin beer fo sho. Will buy again if i ever get a chance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
