The Shipyard Ale is a non-traditional, full bodied American Red Ale. The warm coppery orange color, combined with distinctive wheat malt flavors and hoppy characteristics, are sure to please most anyone. Winter Ale is made up of 5 different malts and 5 different hops, creating a complex flavor.
This is also Shipyard Nitro which can be found during the winter months at Federal Jacks Brew Pub

Bottle: Amber, fairly clear, large frothy off-white head, mild carbonation, fairly nice lacing.   Meaty grainy nose, seems fairly malty as well.   Oh yeah, this is quite the malty brew.   Low hop profile, but quite thick for an Amber Ale.   Big start, but towards the finish it actually waters up a bit.   Otherwise body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Fairly clean finish, this time the malts dont appear to be as big.   Starts out fairly decent, but finishes a bit too light and lacks real flavor depth.   Not bad tho...

12oz bottle pours amber wtih a short offwhite head. Aromas of slight caramel and toasted malt with slight citrus. Flavor is caramel, toasted malt, some slight citrus at the finish. Medium body and really not much to remember.. Didn’t seem too special to me..

12 oz. bottle - Pours a clear amber color with a one finger thick off white head. Aroma is light toasted malt, spice, and light herbal hops. Light lacing. Not bad. Flavor is sweet malt with a touch of spice zing. An easy drinking, medium body beer. Pretty good beer.

Pale copper color. Weak malty taste, a little watery. Not sure whats so "special", maybe the little pinch of spices thrown in...nutmeg, cinnamon?

Bottle (Thanks Mattias!). A party that transformed into an inpromtu beer tasting uncovered this beer. Considering the brewery name the smell of sea spray and wet rope was quite fitting - there’s a real ’Adnams’ quality to it. But when a beer tastes of saltwater too, that’s when I draw the line. Thin, malty and simple beer.

12oz bottle. An Amber Ale? Spicey malt aroma that was average. Amber body somewhat orange in color also with decent head. Oktoberfest spice and dopplebock sweet sugar malt. Man this just seemed like drinking some sugar sweetened cough syrup with a hit of Emeril’’s pepper bam.

Extremely average amber ale. Slightly sweet yet slightly spicy. Medium body. Not much going on here. I have 5 more remaining in the 6 pack, and will probably drink a few and give a couple away.
