The Shipyard Ale is a non-traditional, full bodied American Red Ale. The warm coppery orange color, combined with distinctive wheat malt flavors and hoppy characteristics, are sure to please most anyone. Winter Ale is made up of 5 different malts and 5 different hops, creating a complex flavor.
This is also Shipyard Nitro which can be found during the winter months at Federal Jacks Brew Pub

Bottled. Dark amber. Flower and resiny. Very clean - near metallic - maltiness. Dry finish with lingering bitterness. This is wheat beer??

Amber color. Good body structure, malty and well equilibrated by the hop. Quite a strong caramel character. The aroma is ordinary, maybe too light.
I would believe it's stronger than 5% ABV.
Probably the best beer I could find during this stay in Orlando.

Shiny dark golden with a nice offwhite and creamy head. Has a sweet aroma, some perfume, some butter and maybe even some toffee. Flavor is sourish and it ends with an ok bitterness.

Bottle. Hazy brown color with large light brown head that diminshed slowly with fair lacing. Good nutty sweet aroma. Medium body. Average sweet bitter flavor with a fruity finish of average duration.

Clear copper body topped by large off-white head. Aroma is pungent ringwood, earthy, herbal, some lemon. Taste is medium sweet, earthy, floral, ringwood, herbal, some lemon and orange. Finishes moderately bitter earthy, orange. Medium body. Pretty enjoyable. Surprised to discover that it's a wheat. I enjoyed this as a one-time beer, not sure how much I'd enjoy drinking several at a sitting.

On draught in the terminal of the Orlando airport. This was the seasonal offering in the sampler I tried. Dark amber color with a thin off-white head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is mostly caramel with some malt and spices. Not too rich in body, and I liked the balance. Malt character is balanced out by the hops and spices. The finish is smooth and malty as well. Pretty good.

12oz bottle found in the bargain bin for 99 cents. Bottle labeled best before J(une) 07 - no wonder why it was in the sale bin. Poured a medium and slightly hazy amberish color with a large sized off white head. Some suspended floaters. Aromas of caramel, citrus, and somewhat sugary. Tastes of caramel, citrus, and lighter sugary sweet. Some lacing left on the glass.

Bottled: Light amber coloured. Light dusty. Offwhite fluffy head. Malts and sweet fruits in the aroma. Raisins. Fruit, some cocoa and malt in the flavour. Smooth. Has a light bitter finish. Easy drinking and light forgotten.

Clear, deep amber with copper highlights. Small, fizzy, white head. The nose is of chocolate, light toffee. Well-balanced and well-bittered. Medium-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Lengthy, astringent, dry finish.
