3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
had it during a camping trip. It was 6 months old so not as fresh but I figured it had enough alcohol that it was be fine. It was a good beer. Had the grapefruit hop taste/aroma going on which is nice since it had some body to go with it.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at konttori, tampere. Little hazy red amber color, small white head. Hoppy aroma, leafs, fruits. Smooth palate, medium hops, flowers, some alcohol at taste, not good. Decent taste.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
625ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a slightly red hue, and a light tan head. The nose? Tropical fruit, dried strawberry, and lots of it. (With some caramel, vanilla, and a faint grassy note.) Taste wise, more fruit. Concentrated tropical fruits, followed by a citrusy tang over a sweet malty underbelly, mineral notes, and British style hopping in the finish. A bit of a hop buffet. The IPA version of a rich dessert.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
No bottling information.
Appearance: The body is a murky tea colored, it reminds me of tea made from powder. The head is tan and dense, but not very tall, it has decent retention and settles into a dense coating with a dense ring.
Aroma: The aroma is malty with caramel notes and a tea like hop presence that is rather earthy, a touch of citrus is hanging in the background.
Taste: This is certainly a malty imperial IPA. The malts provide a slight caramel flavor throughout. Light grapefruit is tasted on the intro with a spicy presence towards the end of the mid-taste and lingering after the sip. Tea like flavors or noted throughout.
Palate: Medium bodied leaning thick with light carbonation.
Overall: This is too malty, a bit unremarkable. If this were dated I would know whether it’s fault of time or not, either way this doesn’t impress me enough to consider visiting it again.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber from LCBO, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.
App.: Clear very deep amber with a decent orange-tan head.
Aroma: Boozy, a bit of bright fruitiness, lots of caramel and dark rye brad crust, nice pine/resin/citrus hops, peppery, sweet, kinda typical American DIPA.
Flav.: A bit better than the nose, less malt sweetness and more hops assertiveness, still quite sweet and sticky, lots of “typical” American rye bread crust, brunt sugar and caramel/toffee/treacle, stinging hop bite, pine/resin/grapefruit, some alcohol sting, lemony citrus notes, fairly aggressive; somewhat sweet with big bitterness and a long eucalyptus/honey finish.
Why can’t more brewers follow Alchemist’s Heady Topper? Now THAT’S a hop bomb DIPA that isn’t over-the-top sweet and malty. That’s my first world problem of the day.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Piney/grassy nose, citrus as well. Mildly grapefruit, bitter taste with a puckering aftertaste. I’ve been getting a far more bitter taste off this than the consensus, could have been the food I ate beforehand.

Bottle shared somewhere in the middle of FL. Very nice caramel flavor until the aftertaste sets in and someone dumps ’sour’ down the back of your mouth… interesting journey...

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Been drinking this for 5 minutes now and boy it sure is fine. Just wish it didn’t have wheat malt in it. Anyway its very cloudy copper with a thin white head that lasts. The aroma is spicy, herbal, and floral. The taste is bitter and citrusy like grapefruit, with a very strong malt backbone. The body is medium thick, and the aftertaste, a hopsicle.
