Bottle. Clear amber witha medium off white head. Lots of malty caramel in aroma with some piney and fruity hop notes. In the flavour the caramel is dominating but have a nice punch of hops to match it. Not too bitter. Easy to drink and enjoy.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. The look is copper colored with an off white head. The smell is caramel, desserty, hops, and earth. The taste is alcohol, pine, caramel, and hops.

Best from Shipyard so far. Huge nose of hops and sweet malts. Clear golden body, large white head (some wheat?), great lacing. No need for balance, just solid sweet malt background, grapefruit, pine, resin, and bitterness. Bitter finish, and surprisingly dry given the sweetness of the initial malt experience.

Me too! Tasted from the same bottle as yalnikim. Was a disappointed amongst all the other fine beers that were surrounded by.

Tasted 28/08/2009. Oh dear... bombs away! Diacetyl killed the hopstar. Great bottle, looks lovely in the glass (hazy but creamy), but it all falls away very badly into a screaming train wreck. Diacetyl and cloying caramel malt leave the hops no chance to express themselves. It’s bad enough for me to not bother investigating further. Sadly I was very excited about this bottle.

Bottled. Clear amber, rich creamy head. Grapefruity nose. Very sweet with clean hard mouthfeel. The hops collide badly with the immense swetness, making it harsh and inky. Some butterscotch tries to round the wost edges of this simplistic and unrefined beer, but it’s all in vane. Finishes with pine needles and inky bitterness. With more ink than hop aroma and really poor malt structure it’s the least enjoyable IIPA I can remember.

Amber orange color with a short lived off white head. Big candied grapefruit rind and pinnapple nose. Flavors of red grapefruit, orange rind, and lots of alcohol in the finish. Pretty thin body. This is really more like a thin hop tea.

Shared at LCRBM09. Bright and clear pinkish-red color. Pretty, but possibly filtered? Smells, fruity, floral and boozy. tastes sweet, quite bitter. Thin and alcoholic. Hot and bitter beer that needs body and backbone. Maybe that part was filtered out.

22 oz. bottle. Pours an orange amber gold with white head. Aroma not as strong as expected, but citrus hops and caramel noticeable. A taste reveals sweet caramel malts with a hoppy, bitter finish. This is a more balanced IPA, very good, but if you’re a hophead not what you’re looking for.
