"Pugsley’s Signature Series is named after Shipyard Brewing Company’s master brewer, Alan Pugsley.”

XXXX IPA is a non-traditional American IPA with a brilliant copper color and the classic citrus nose of Cascade Hops. 22 oz. bottle. Pours an orange amber gold with white head. Aroma not as strong as expected, but citrus hops and caramel noticeable. A taste reveals sweet caramel malts with a hoppy, bitter finish. This is a more balanced IPA, very good, but if you’re a hophead not what you’re looking for.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Orange pour with a soapy head and some nice lacing. Aroma is soap, pine, and quite bitter. Flavor was pine, astringent, with some butter.

This bottled brew from a rating party poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent dark orange colored body. The strong aroma was hoppy and floral. The mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mediumly tingly finish. The nice flavor contained notes of strong hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Aroma is sappy hops with just a hint of buttery diacetyl. Flavor is pretty hoppy, with a nice balancing maltiness, but the buttery-ness really just kinda throws it off for me.

LCRBM 2009. The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass is copper-brown, modest zippy, creamy head. Tastes strong hoppy, not too dry. Intense grasy-woody, a little bit alcoholic. All in all very good!

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2010 [9/5/09] Bottle sample during LCRBM at Kulminator in Antwerp. Clear amber. Aroma of malt, grains and some hops. Sweetish flavor at first, continues very bitter and hoppy. Medium-bodied.

Pretty thick frothy off white head that seems to linger a little with a lot of sticky lace. Darker orangish amber color. Aroma a little light some hops some pine.. taste yes different.. a different bitterness nice.... some malt balance. grapefruit kinda expensive for what it is.. good, different would and probably will buy again. probably need to try the barleywine This is good dipa, need more dipas in my life... and this could be one of them. [if a little cheaper]

bottle thanks to bu11zeye. amber with a light cream head. nose is caramel and light hops. decently thick on the palate with a citrusy hop flavor that is dulled by the caramel.

( 22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) Pours clear dark orange with oily bubbles on top. Nose of honey, caramel, and biscuit. Taste alcohol, bitter piney hops but well balanced. The linger isn’t as good as the taste that has more bitterness than preferred for me. Very drinkable.

Clear copper colour. Off-white head. Aroma is wonderful. Lots of hops, flowery, butter and some nuts and cola. Flavor: Malty, nutty, bitter and little buttery. Has a round and smooth palate.
