3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hand-pulled pint in the excellent ’Cock Hotel’ Wellington, Shropshire on 21 Dec 2012.
As the name suggests the beer is a golden coloured beer, clear and bright: on top a well formed foaming head of white bubbles.
Mixed fruit aroma: semi-citrus with sweeter orchard smells coming through as well.
The taste is also semi-citrus with a mini-bitterness throughout the mouthfeel. You’d never guess it carried 5% ABV within its thin looking body: if it had some depth of colour I’d really like it, but Gold is the colour around these parts at the moment, so that is what’s brewed.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: SEP 11, 2010 Cask at The Duke William, Stourbridge. Pours golden with a small head. Aroma was of some trpical fruits and a faint hint of some piney hops. Some orange to start with some light, fruity malt. Slighty piney, medium bitter finish. Little bit thin in the mouth. Not a bad pint.
