joeneugs (282), Livermore, California, USA May 9, 2009 The aroma is bready, with lemon, orange, and a little bit of spice. The spritzy white head looks weak. The tase is orangy lemon, with a wheat like finish. Not very distincitve, and a lazy example of the style. HarmonKill-a-Brew (316), Wilmar, Arkansas, USA May 8, 2009 Aroma was floral and citrusy. Inital flavor is of wheat and citrus but it diminishes quickly and little carries through to the aftertaste. Pours a pale yellow slightly muddy color. A little different and surprisingly good. Cybercat (778), Georgia, USA May 3, 2009 Yeasty aroma has a decided citrus overtone, mainly orange. It comes out of the bottle a hazy golden with not much white head. Flavor is wheaty and has a firm undertone of lemon and orange. Texture is fairly smooth and just slightly fizzy. Nothing spectacular, but worth a try. Snot19kilo (81), Oakwood, Illinois, USA May 2, 2009 Updated: May 4, 2009Pours Gold orange and cloudy. Short White head with no lace. Aroma Strong citrus orange and a medium wheat. Kind of flat tasting. good mouth feel nice amount of carbonation going down. Nothing notable in the after taste other than water. AGAquino (73), San Juan, Puerto Rico May 1, 2009 On tap at the jet Rock Bar at the PHL airport, in lieu of Hoegaarden. Not bad, but then again, not the nuances of flavour of a yeasty Hoegaarden. Guinnessman (88), VACAVILLE, California, USA Apr 27, 2009 Had this on tap at Hard Rock Cafe Sacramento. I was surprised to find it was made by AB. This was a pretty good beer! Maybe InBev was the best thing to happen to AB. Bartender floated an orange in it to bring out a more hefe quality. Not bad, InBev! Birdiebeagle (777), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 26, 2009 Draft Pours a cloudy orange with a white head. The head is fizzy and disapates quickly. Has musty orange odor. Flavor is a citrusy sweet lagerlike. Ikay finish. Light bodied. Decent carbination. It is a copy of Blue Moon. Makes people think they drink craft beer. Narnad (681), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Apr 24, 2009 Pours a murky orange-yellow color with a very big, white head. Aroma is a very pungent orange with some wheat background and some light coriander. Flavor begins with an orange citrus note and moves into a light, watery wheat presence with not much else there. Overall, if it looks like an orange, smells like an orange and tastes like an orange, then it must be AB’s Shock Top because even an orange isn’t this orange.
