| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 11, 2009 Hazy brownish yellow with a giant white head that is slowly but mostly diminishing. Citric (orange) aroma, pleasant but one dimensional. Flavor is lightly sweet with husky wheat, light citrus, with some lemon and lime peel. Finish is a touch sour, grainy. Thin, watery palate was actually my first impression upon taking a sip. In the deathmatch between macro witbiers, Shock Top loses to Blue Moon wins, hands-down. jezmez68 (332), Chesterton, Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 11, 2009 If you didn’t know this was a Bud product, you would think that it was interesting. The use of lemon, lime AND orange peel is a cool idea. This might give it more of a citrusy flavor than expected, and might seem kind of extreme, but that’s what extreme beer is all about, right? Witbiers never really make me think, "Wow!" even though a couple of witbiers probably got me started down the craft beer road. I don’t think this is a bad example of the style. I think it does something interesting with the style, and lighter beers are something that Budweiser (AB-Inbev) are good at. WakeandBake (427), Greenville, Michigan, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 10, 2009 A cloudy golden yellow color body with three or four fingers of fluffy white head.Aroma is
as promised, wheat ,oranges and lemon. Flavor is much the same with a moderate wheaty malt backbone, some citrus fruit(lemon&orange)and a hint of hoppy spice, medium carbonation, fruity aftertaste, quite sessionable. Overall not offensive but I drink A LOT of Oberon and this falls WAY short of that mark. pineybob (11), MYSTIC ISLANDS, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 7, 2009 Had sveral on tap at the Yakima Bears game last August. It’s a fairly good imitation Belgian Wit beir.It had a very pleasant aroma and poured with a nice head. Taste was pretty goo but not great. The citrus notes were there though not as much as I prefer. If you stack it up against the other Macro Sills out there it’s darn fine beer. Compared against the real world competition then it’s merely "Servicable". hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 7, 2009 Draft at Pinchers Crab Shack, Ft. Myers, FL. A very small white head with poor retention, cloudy, no lacing, very little carbonation, and a pale yellow hue. The aroma, what there was of it, was sweet, fruity and some coriander. Ditto for the flavor. B-o-r-i-n-g. Smooth mouthfeel and a light bodied beer. Very easy to drink, lacked character and easily forgettable for this rater. thornecb (1753), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 4, 2009 Pours hazy yellow into a shaker. Bright white head recedes at a medium pace and tightly hugs rim. Wheat and orange aromas. Mild sour wheat from front to back. thehurt01 (202), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 31, 2009 A 12oz bottle. The beer poured a cloudy gold. The smell of oranges is prevalint as it is in the taste. It is to much orange but not bad. Carbonation is to high. NeoHippie2 (173), Louisville, Kentucky, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 29, 2009 It’s like they added orange extract to it or something. Essence of lemon and lime in there as well. Finish on this beer leaves some to be desired. Kind of bland honestly. Not a bad beer but I definitely prefer blue moon or leinenkugels take on this style to this stuff.
