punkeedo (465), San Antonio, Texas, USA Jan 24, 2009 2009 Tap. I can understand why they call it shocking...but I can also understand why they don’t call it "good." This is a somewhat below average witbier. Smells of orange peel and lemon, looks almost bright orange. It can barely be tasted, because of the extremely high level of carbonation, which makes it remarkably unenjoyable. A poor choice. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA Jan 18, 2009 had this POS on draft at breckenridge restaurant. it was pretty standard, actually, and wasn’t too far off from blue moon, though perhaps more orange-ish. basewars (144), Albany, New York, USA Jan 12, 2009 Pours cloudy yellow/orange. Aroma is orange peel and lemon. Flavor is similar. Tastes like orange flavored Miller Lite. This actually tastes better with chocolate cake. lithy (1600), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jan 11, 2009 Cloudy light yellow with a thin white fizz cover. Big lemony aroma, light spice. Taste is thin and bitter, lemon zest and spice. SODAK14 (106), Rapid City, South Dakota, USA Jan 10, 2009 Pours a hazy light orange color with a small head. I don’t normally like citrus flavor in my beer but this one was not bad. However it was almost too citrusy. Good beer for sipping on a hot summer day but I happened to have it at a hockey game. Good all around beer but behind Blue Moon. DerWeg (748), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 8, 2009 Bottle - Miami Beach. Pretty aggressive flavors for an AB product but right away seems clumsy and artificial with kind of fake overbearing lemon-pastille aroma - taste not as bad but still a bit fake. Wheat graininess, that is not too cloyingly sweet. Overall much nicer than Blue Moon though! OD40oz (600), Box Elder, South Dakota, USA Jan 4, 2009 Poured a hazy yellow color. Small white head. Decent amount of carbonation. Clean taste with a good amount of tart citrusy flavor. This beer would hit he spot if iit was 102 degrees outside, I tried it in the dead of winter and it was damn good. I liked it way better than Belgian Blue Moon. Nice clean citrusy finish, it was a nice break from all the complex winter brews I have had this winter. gpekar (221), Maryland, USA Jan 2, 2009 Poured a slightly hazy lemon yellow color. Decent white head that slowly drops to about 1/2" tall. Some carbonation bubbles seen rising in the glass. Mild fruity aroma of citrus fruits. The initial taste was crisp from the carbonation and a little tartness from the citrus. The general flavor was very mild, but it was clean and refreshing. This is a summertime session beer for those hot days.
