CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Sep 11, 2008 Updated: Dec 6, 2008Knew this would suck just because of the Belgian label, luckily just a variety 6. The first sip was actually okay until the fizzy, alkaseltzer kinda flavor came in, bringing on a worse-than-bitter beer face. Definitely lived up to the name as shocking. FlagstoneHill (211), Erie, Colorado, USA Sep 9, 2008 Hazy, orange-yellow.
Some citrusy spice aroma, but not too exciting.
Watery flavor that has some light citrus, grainy notes. Spicy yeast character, but it’s pretty subdued.
Thin, watery mouthfeel.
Overall, not terribly impressive. on the dark side for the style and the flavor is a bit thin. djones (116), Michigan, USA Sep 8, 2008 Hazy orange-yellow. Pretty weak wit beer, but great from a macro. Better than blue moon, as some one mentioned. Some citrusy and wheaty flavors. Weak on spice and complexity. Kind of watery too. CptGreencoat (68), Kettering, Ohio, USA Sep 7, 2008 Draft in an english pint glass last week, so I don’t remember all the details. Small head that was slow to dissipate, almost no lacing on the glass. Nice cloudy orange color, light and sweet - very drinkable. I’d drink this over Blue Moon any day of the week. I was very surprised when I asked the bartender what brewery it came from and she said "Anheuser-Busch." I’d drink this again, but I wouldn’t go anywhere specifically for it. stchloe (473), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 7, 2008 Damn you to hell for tricking me Busch. This knock-off is ill-conceived and poorly executed. 1010 (206), Marysville, Ohio, USA Sep 6, 2008 12 oz. bottle Its an alright beer for an Anheuser-Busch product, but nothing neer as good as other Belgian Whites. Pershing (146), Garland, Texas, USA Sep 5, 2008 Cloudy pale yellow with a nice clean aroma. Light citris and spice taste with a thin finish. An ok summer drink. Rotorhead87 (117), Temple, Texas, USA Sep 4, 2008 Well, its a decent lawnmower beer, but that’s about all it has going for it. I can tell its a wit, but its pretty watery. Its not a bad beer, but I can get much better for the money.
