tkimbrought05 (37), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA May 9, 2008 Pours dark, cloudy yellow with an orange smell. Didn’t expect much from a belgian white made by AB, pretty much got what I expected. Extremely light and watered down with an off-balanced citrus taste. Still, I could see this as being refreshing on a hot day. JHunter (242), British Columbia, Canada May 7, 2008 pours a cloudy yellow with a light orange aroma. taste of hints of lemon and lightly watered down mountainforest (111), Edinburgh, Scotland May 7, 2008 Compared to its peers, below average. Compared to its siblings at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery, above the norm. Cloudy feature is a plus. Fruit is a must and a drawback, as it demonstrates how weak this beer really is. Think a Corona version of a wheat beer. Nevertheless, quite refreshing. Served on tap at Bare Bones (Stuart, FL) -- first beer in the US after 3 years in the UK. FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA May 5, 2008 Updated: Sep 28, 2008Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy light golden color with a large white head. The aroma was musty and yeasty with light hints of lemon and spice. The flavor was tangy citrus with a hint of cardboard and a trace of mustiness. The finish was moderately long tangy lemon. chrissy (122), Connecticut, USA May 4, 2008 Draft: Pours a cloudy straw color. Small white head. Not much of an aroma. Hint of citrus flavor. Watered down. Not a bad attempt from AB. Easy to drink in mass consumpton. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA May 4, 2008 (Bottle, courtesy of Swalden 28) Pours a cloudy pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, coriander, and light orange. Flavor of wheat, light citrus, and mild spices (maybe some coriander). Seems a bit watered down, but not unexpected either… thechandler (268), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA May 1, 2008 Pours a hazy pale orange color. Aroma is wheaty and citrusy, but....it still smells like an A-B product. Tastes like a Belgian White. You can taste the wheat, and the orange flavors. Almost kind of orange-juice like, actually. It’s just kind of weak flavor-wise though. Like a normal wit, but muted. It is crisp, however. Not bad, but for a macro produced Belgian White, I’ll definitely stick to Blue Moon. jzzbassman (838), New Albany, Mississippi, USA May 1, 2008 So, AB’s answer to Blue Moon. While not a bad wit, it just is not really worth seeking out. It is everything a wit should be, but dialed down by half. Textbook, but very bland and innocuous. There are a hundred non-descript brewpubs that would do this one better.
