Shock Top Belgian White

Pours a hazy pale orange color. Aroma is wheaty and citrusy, but....it still smells like an A-B product. Tastes like a Belgian White. You can taste the wheat, and the orange flavors. Almost kind of orange-juice like, actually. It’s just kind of weak flavor-wise though. Like a normal wit, but muted. It is crisp, however. Not bad, but for a macro produced Belgian White, I’ll definitely stick to Blue Moon.

So, AB’s answer to Blue Moon. While not a bad wit, it just is not really worth seeking out. It is everything a wit should be, but dialed down by half. Textbook, but very bland and innocuous. There are a hundred non-descript brewpubs that would do this one better.

Bottle, No aroma to speak of, slight orange juice flavor very light palate quite watery, but what do you expect from Buttwieser.

Yellow, somewhat hazy appearance.Very wheaty aroma. The flavor is also wheaty, but weak. While the beer is moderately smooth, it’s not the smoothest wheat beer. Considering the competition out there, this beer isn’t the best wheat beer.

Poured large white head, which lasted a while. Aroma is of lemon-citrusy. Pale straw color, almost see-thru. Light mouth feel, with a taste of oranges and lemon. Nothing special, but it wasn’t all that bad. Will probably not seek again.

Bottle. Not bad. Has a nice aroma. Has a real nice hint of orange smell. Real mild taste. Worth at least one try.

Straw yellow, has no real head and no real carbonation - not a looker of a beer. Orange aroma mixed with a sweet bannana and cotton candy, smells better than it looks. Light tasting; water is dominant flavor, than an orange tonic and perhaps the rice that budweiser is known for. Palate is light and easy to drink a whole buch of these lightweights. Bottom line, a small step up from American mass consuption that AB is known for.

on tap Pours out a hazy straw color topped with a small white head. Aroma of light orange and a touch of yeast. Tast of a little spice and yeast. Just so so.
