Hopdup (71), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 9, 2008 AB is learning. It pours golden with some haze and little bit of head. Smells, as you would guess, like oranges and grass. Better then most of AB products but is is still light on flavor. It could use some more spices and malt. I think it tasted better the blue moon but I have not been able to decide yet. A Good gateway beer for Bud Light drinkers to get out and see the world with. beezz86 (68), Jasper, Indiana, USA Mar 8, 2008 Updated: Mar 26, 2009Poured a hazy, yellow color with minimal head and no lacing. A strong citrus (orange) aroma with just a bit of spices. The beer had a light body and texture with an orange aftertaste. I didn’t think it was a bad beer. It is more of an orange beer with a hint of wheat instead of a wheat beer with a hint of orange (a la Upland Wheat or Blue Moon). I would also like a bit more of the spices to come out of a witbier. JJClark (545), Roscoe, Illinois, USA Mar 8, 2008 Draft at a local bar. Pours a hazy yellow color with a small head white head. Aroma of wheat , citrus, yeast, corriander, and malt. Flavor is light spices and citrus. Esy to drink and overall not to bad. bilchak (45), Ohio, USA Mar 8, 2008 watery version of blue moon, why can’t budweiser invent it’s own beer insead of copying everyone else’s? bareknuckle stout? landshark? this stuff is garbage. epf33 (222), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Mar 8, 2008 a boring beer, but an average beer. looks misty, doesn’t taste as good as blue moon, but they hit the bulls eye when they call it a "belgian white" Rynoplasty (500), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Mar 7, 2008 Pours hazy yellow with a smallish white head. Aroma is orange peel and maybe a tiny bit of wheat. Taste is smooth and mildly spicy with the orange peel coming through and wheat malt. This is not a bad wit at all really. Seems like a victim of Anhueser Busch hate in the ratings (granted, Anhueser Busch is crap, but this beer isn’t). rugbydude05 (280), Kew Gardens, New York, USA Mar 6, 2008 Updated: Mar 21, 2008Draft at a local Irish bar. I think this beer is much better than the ratings reflect. It pours a hazy golden color typical of wheat beer, and the aroma is smooth and citrusy. However, the palate is outstanding and the flavor is very full but not too overpowering. Some wheat beers/belgian whites can have a tart taste to them or end up tasting like old orange juice but this beer had a very smooth and full taste. Finish is clean and crisp. Hats off for the first time to AB. Kands (20), USA Mar 4, 2008 Poured from the bottle an opaque yellow-orange with the typical A-B thin, quickly-dissipating head. Noticeably more carbonated and watery than is typical for the style (again, typical of A-B brews.) A strong and appetizing orange and spice aroma. Taste is pretty good, although it lacks the more yeasty elements you’d expect in the style. Highly citrus tasting and semi-tart, it finishes pretty clean and is actually pretty refreshing. Wife and daughters liked it better than I did -- but by no means a bad change of pace drink, especially, I’d think, in the summer.
