DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA Feb 6, 2008 AB is really trying with this beer.A definate competition to Blue Moon, with the AB product being slightly better.Mostly a citrus nose and flavor which you can detect with some maltiness.Finish was clean with not much lingering around. BrianHagmeier (257), Coralville, Iowa, USA Feb 5, 2008 Pours a medium foamy head on a skunky smelling flesh colored beer. Flavor is like a Corona, kind of stinky and bitter. Not my kind of beer. ilovedarkbeer (1326), Dallas, Texas, USA Feb 4, 2008 Its interesting to see AB trying so hard to make it into the craft beer market. The only problem is they use cheap ingrediants, and all there beers taste like they use Bud for the base. This beer was no different. Pours a yellow color that is far to orange to look like a wit. Smells sour and of czech hops. Tastes like, surprise! bud with a shot of Hoegaarden dropped in it. Weak taste but some of the spices are decent. I guess those are easy to come by. mmmbeer (737), Austin, Texas, USA Feb 3, 2008 12 oz. bottle poured into tumbler- poured a hazy orange yellow, white head slowly bubbled away. Aroma of oranges, lemons, yeast, and a note of malt- honestly, it’s appealing, let alone for an AB product. Hits the mouth with a thin-medium body, alot of citrus notes, malt is detectable but not standing out like it should be for this style, finish goes away rapidly. If AB could just figure out how to make a beer finish... bma4573 (136), Mechanicsville, Maryland, USA Feb 2, 2008 Poured a golden cloudy color, was very sweet with lots of orange spicy flavor. Not very complex, but easy to drink. About what you’d expect from AB. blipp (1630), Newark, New Jersey, USA Jan 31, 2008 Updated: May 14, 2008Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Light lemon aroma. Light body. Flavor is lemon and bubblegum. Drinkable. CubsClapp (13), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Jan 31, 2008 Had this at the Budweiser brewery in Fort Collins, and at Old Chicago. I had it for 2 reasons:
1. I Hadn’t had it before when I went to the Bud brewery and got a free sample.
2. I needed it to chalk up another beer on my World Beer Tour card at Old Chicago.
Otherwise, this beer isn’t really worth your time. kidmartinek (972), austin, Texas, USA Jan 28, 2008 Pours cloudy golden yellow with a small head. Looks like a good hefe. Smells of orange peel, lemon and corriader. Tastes like a good hefeweizen without having to add the orange slice. Pretty darn good, although the after taste, though short lived, has a bit of funk to it.
