mgumby10 (1844), Jupiter, Florida, USA Jan 27, 2008 Draft. Pours a light gold with a medium, foamy white head. Smelled of light citrus and mild wheat, nothing really stands out. The flavor also was a little bland, nothing offensive, but nothing really good either. Some light orange citrus, with no real wheat definition whatsoever. definitely not a good example of this style. Nothing much else to say about it except I wont be reaching for it again. hopscotch (5440), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jan 27, 2008 Draft... Jupiter Craft Brewers Festival ‘08... Cloudy, straw-colored ale with a large, frothy, white head. Pretty good retention. Grainy aroma with very mild coriander. Light-bodied and watery with tingly carbonation. Not a lot of flavor to it... mostly seltzer water. Mildly acidic and lightly sweet with almost no bitterness and the most faint traces of smoke and spice. Short, crisp, muted citrus finish. bhensonb (4187), Woodland, California, USA Jan 26, 2008 Brown bottle from Hi-Time. Aroma of wheat. I’d be imagining fruit or spice. Hazy light gold color with a decent white head that tries to lace. Near medium body with creamy carbonation. The flavor is wheat, with a little of that standard AB corniness. There is the barest trace of orange peel and perhaps clove. A little lemon comes along. It’s not much of a wit, and lacks the banane for a hefe. However, it is ever so much more drinkable than Bud. After some time a little more fruit and spice builds in the mouth. I’d say it’s definitely drinkable, but applying Marcus’ rule I’ll find a better beer. ketchepillar (475), Viña del Mar, Chile Jan 26, 2008 Sampled at brewery. Aroma starts out alright with a little spice, but quickly becomes putrid, smelling like vomit. Taste is not of vomit, but might as well be; starts with nail polish and banana medicine, and quickly is taking over by some terrible clove flavor. Pretty much undrinkable. thekmoonlegend (93), Lynn, Massachusetts, USA Jan 24, 2008 A failed attempt at competing with Blue Moon. Cloudy gold color, citrus nose. Tastes of yeast and lemon, but flats out quickly, coats tongue and finishes soapy. Give me a Blue Moon instead! Pwn3d (1040), Manhattan, New York, USA Jan 23, 2008 Saw this for the first time at my local liquor store and decided to give it a try. Once I noticed it was Anheuser Busch, I assumed it is a direct competitor of the ever so popular Blue Moon. Nose is okay, light citrus (lemon), pour was decent too- hazy orange body. Did not have this with orange, but that probably would of hidden the defects in this beer. Mouth was some hops, citrus, then nothing. Flats out quick, definitely lacking. The finish is very very soapy which retains in the palate. No thanks. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Jan 19, 2008 surprisingly good..on tap at a local bar..hazy, orange body with medium, fluffy white head..aroma of orange, clove, and other citrus..flavor is of citrus, spice, and clove as well...very basic, yet enjoyable nick76 (2636), Tampa, Florida, USA Jan 17, 2008 Updated: Jul 14, 2009The aroma is floral with wheat, lemon, lime, orange, coriander, and yeast. But it’s got a little bit of cheap macro adjunct in there that is not altogether pleasant. The appearance is hazy yellow gold with a one finger head. The flavor is like the aroma with just a little too much lemon lime for the style. The palate is thin but good for the style. Overall it’s a great smelling beer but hard core Belgian White fans will be let down as the smell is candy like.
