bigrond (1043), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 30, 2007 flavor and palate were very poor. For a wit beir....this was crap. plain and simple. Anheuser busch is trying to grab a larger market share apparently...but if you like good beer. Your not going to like any of the new horses in their stable. SHANER4 (370), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Aug 26, 2007 Not a bad beer for a Busch product. Tastes almost like Sunset Wheat. Has a Lemony citrus flavor. jimhilt (1664), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Aug 24, 2007 Pours a two-finger white head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving some lace. Cloudy pale amber color. Orange/lemon nose. Light carbonation and light bodied. Flavor is like unsweetened orange/lemonade. Good lawnmower beer. 12oz bottle dated 24FEB2007, $1.49 from Case N’Keg Laconia, NH. doubelknv3 (559), Illinois, USA Jul 28, 2007 Citrus, spiced wheat aroma. Cloudy pale white-golden with sticking head. Spices and wheat citrus flavours. Zesty, with mild bitter finish. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jul 28, 2007 I notice from the get go that this is rated higher than any of the other Bud Seasonals. Corriander, orange, and peanut aroma. Smells exactly like Blue Moon. Pours a hazy light orange gold with no head. It does have some nice wheat malt flavor, some orange and corriander as well. It does have a little bit of that Bud taste though and a strange chemically aftertaste. Like mild orange soda? This isnt totally awful, it just isnt good. It is about 10x better than Beach Bum Blonde if that means wnything. Bud’s best crap seasonal. YAY! yayforbeer (641), Orange Park, Florida, USA Jul 27, 2007 Pint on tap at Sahara’s in Jacksonville. Slightly hazy golden beer with a small white head that didn’t last long. Not much aroma, but then it was a hookah bar so maybe it was overwhelmed. Flavor didn’t seem as good to me as other raters here are reporting. Perhaps I got the first beer pulled from tap that night and what was in the lines wasn’t so good. Very watery, some strange citrus flavors and maybe some spice, but not what I have come to expect from a decent Belgian Wit. Not terrible, but too subdued, and more of a macro lager character than anything else. No better than average. I’ll have to try this one in bottle and re-rate. csbosox (1076), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Jul 23, 2007 Updated: Feb 6, 2008Spring Heat Spiced Wheat 12ooz bottle dated 23Feb07, Light hazy gold with a two fingered head. Aroma is lemon, orange, corriander, and sharp wheat. Smells a little overspiced, but good otherwise. Initial taste is sharp wheat, mild acidity, sweet orange followed by spice, more citrus, and vanilla. The finish is lingering citrus and seems a bit sweet. Not a bad example of a wit, but a little restraint on the spice would be welcome.
