Fatehunter (1700) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - MAR 18, 2012
Poured into a pint glass. A hazy golden color with a half finger of head that was completely gone within 45 seconds. Smells of honey and metal, but only faintly overall. Tastes like water, mildly orange and bitter. Light body, higher carbonation. Itís not offensive because it doesnít taste or smell like anything. Iím curious which spices it was brewed with because none of them come through.

0.5 tap. Slightly hazy, gold color and a small, white head. Delicate aroma of citruses and pretty much nothing else. Taste is also kinda fruity, simplistic. Light body, slick texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is more grainy than tje rest. Overall a mediocre beer.

Like many of the poorer versions of the style, this tastes like a giant packet of ground coriander has been poured in during the brewing process. Itís the dominant taste, and also contributes to the mouthfeel which is otherwise pretty watery. Reasonably high carb. Straw coloured, decent white head. I think Iíve concluded that only the really good wit beers stand out - the rest are very average.

On tap at Red Lobster. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with a large white head, some lacing. Aroma and Taste is of wheat, hay, some light citrus and orange notes. Palate is a medium body, crisp mouth feel, good carbonation. Finishes with wheat, pale malt, and light citrus orange flavor, light dry bitterness on the end. Overall a good brew from Shock top for what it is, a good refreshing summer brew.

Aroma is practically nonexistent. Appearance is consistent with the style albeit slightly darker yellow hue. Couldnít asses much flavour differentiation.

from Bier-Bienne - pours a hazy orange beer with no head retention; aroma of citrus, mandarins and coriander; medium-bodied, moderate carbonation and pretty sweet, a bit thick and citric with reminiscence of coriander in the finish
