Some mo brought this to a party. Gross fake orange smell and taste. Dumped it out into the sink after a couple of sips. Horrible.

AB is really trying with this beer.A definate competition to Blue Moon, with the AB product being slightly better.Mostly a citrus nose and flavor which you can detect with some maltiness.Finish was clean with not much lingering around.

All i can say is that this brew was cute,it didn’t smell like an AB brew,it didn’t look like one,the flavor actually had some orange peel and no cheap adjunct flavor or aftertaste.Any other brewery its a train wreck ,for AB its surprisingly good

Orange colored brew. Artificial flavors. Mass production kills beer.

This one pours a cloudy orange/yellow color without much head to speak of. Aroma is not unlike other witbiers except that it seems that the orange peel aroma is kicked into overdrive. Thin as expected upfront, all those different peels aren’t really necessary and create a rather artificial maybe Tang-like taste. It’s not terrible though.

Had on 6/6/2007. Aroma is a nice lemon scent. Color is a hazy yellow with good carbonation and a nice white head. Taste is peppery and light. Starting with a light body it goes down easy with a crisp feel. Finish comes out well with a peppery citrus flavor and a faint bitterness, then ends with a lemon/coriander taste.

Its interesting to see AB trying so hard to make it into the craft beer market. The only problem is they use cheap ingrediants, and all there beers taste like they use Bud for the base. This beer was no different. Pours a yellow color that is far to orange to look like a wit. Smells sour and of czech hops. Tastes like, surprise! bud with a shot of Hoegaarden dropped in it. Weak taste but some of the spices are decent. I guess those are easy to come by.

Chickie’s & Pete’s Sports Bar has diversified their tap list to include Blue Moon AND Shock Top. I don’t think this beer resembles a Witbier, but for an ’orange’ it has the flavor right on.
