aracauna (2237), Georgia, USA Apr 25, 2008 I’m guessing this is Budweiser’s attempt to compete with Coors’ Blue Moon. Whereas Blue Moon almost goes overkill with the coriander and orange, this beer is too timid. The wheat character is awesome (even after tasting much bigger beers earlier in the night) but the spicing is nearly nonexistant. This ends up being just another American wheat beer.
joeyplush (37), Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 6, 2008 12 oz bottle available just about anywhere. Pours a light orange with a thin white head. Yeast sediment is visible. Aroma and flavor have orange and spice, with a very creamy palate and finish. Very refreshing. wxman (436), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Aug 5, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow with a huge thick white head. Very little aroma; perhaps some spice and citrus. Very smooth unassertive but balanced taste. I get sweet wheat malt, yeast, citrus juice, and spices like coriander. Not very interesting but very inoffensive. A real thirstquencher. rustychiles (399), Mesa, Arizona, USA Aug 5, 2008 Pours a hazy golden color with a large white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus, spices and yeast. Flavor is wheat, spices, artificial citrus. Decent shot at a blue moon clone, but that’s not saying much. Not bad, but not that good either. NomDeBeer (33), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Aug 4, 2008 The best Anheuser-Bush product I’ve had so far (but that’s not saying much). Citrus aroma and flavor but not even as good as Blue Moon as far as macro witbiers are concerned.
scraff (1620), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Aug 3, 2008 Hazed gold, creamy white head. Light earthy wheat and sweet orange aroma throughout. Candied spiced orange and sweet bready flavors dominate from top to bottom. Light bodied, soft carbonation, sweet fruity finish. This must be a joke...
