mikeben (335), Naperville, Illinois, USA Jun 28, 2008 Not in Blue Moon’s legue which to me tastes like a real wit. I did not know this was an Anheuser-Busch product when I drank this but something was a little off. It’s a good facsimile of a wit. The coloring is good, but the citrus flavor is already added so for those who like to add a fresh lemon or orange this will not please. Why because it tastes somwhat artifical. Just not fresh in mouthfeel. It doesn’t have a bad aftertaste, and while certainly a second string beer it is almost good. It just doesn’t quite cut it, but it’s hardly a drain pour. I really don’t know how to rate this because I like the Wit style so much that it pushed my feelings about it higher then would be othewise. Let’s just say that is worthy of a drink but be aware that it’s a copy and not a real representation of the style.
Rotorhead87 (109), Temple, Texas, USA Sep 4, 2008 Well, its a decent lawnmower beer, but that’s about all it has going for it. I can tell its a wit, but its pretty watery. Its not a bad beer, but I can get much better for the money. d_fn_warbux (1), , Texas, USA does not count Sep 3, 2008 Where is all the spice & aroma as noted on the bottle? Tasted like 1/2 zima & 1/2 bud lite. Will not purchase or drink again. elihapa (254), Connecticut, USA Sep 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours a murky apricot yellow orange with a fast dissipating white head. Smells of artificial fruit (orange, lemon, tangerine), and wheat. Flavor is not entirely unpleasant – just weak. There is wheat, sugar-fruit, cough syrup, and a bit of spice in the flavor. Finish is slightly astringent. OK, for Anheuser, but I still feel that artificial flavor is upsetting. Quietman (160), Florida, USA Sep 1, 2008 Hazy orange yellow.Nice aroma, orange, wheat, bubblegum coriander. The flavor turned out to be less interesting than the aroma implied.Semi sweet,a faint spiciness but no real character.Thin body.Better than expected from this brewer but not great for the style. ratman197 (2272), Arvada, Colorado, USA Aug 31, 2008 Bottle poured a hazy yellow with a lasting creamy white head. Aromas of wheat, coriander, lemon, orange and light yeast. Palate waslight to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of wheat, coriander, yeast and orange zest with a smooth yeasty finish.
