3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Been hanging out a lot lately with a couple of macro drinking friends, so here we are. I did introduce one of my friends, who’s former favorite beer was Shock Top, to Hoegaarden, which he likes better. That’s a win. Unfortunately the all you can eat chicken wing place didn’t see fit to have Hoegaarden on tap, so we got this instead. It’s not great by any means, but it’s better than Blue Moon by a country mile, so that’s something. Smells like any other beer of this style, thankfully I didn’t pick up any off aromas or flavors. Pretty crisp and clean for what it was.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from craft. Every brew from this company seems to miss the mark when it comes to full body. However, there was some nice notes of bread and lemon. Not a terrible brew.

bottle. Hazy pale straw with small head. Too much orange. This beer has value only as a gateway beer. Perhaps someone may like this and be led to try a real Belgian white.

Respectably fluffy, showcasing notes of wheat grain, coriander, LME, and bread yeast. Could indeed be worse.

It’s like drinking piss with a dash of orange juice. Freaking nasty. This is one of those beers that is indicative of large beer hiding as craft brew. I wouldn’t even like this if it was made by Deschutes.

Excellent wheat ale. Fresh hints of orange and coriander. Dont listen to the jag off hipsters that would rather drink their bitter swills than a refreshing brew like this.

Pint on tap in a tumbler. Pours a hazy golden orange with a light fluffy head. Citrusy aroma with plenty of orange and a bit wheat. Flavour is dominated by orange. It is quite sweet but still enjoyable

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Shock Top Belgian White 12 oz beer bottle served in a 16 oz glass. A really light citrus aroma honestly I wish it had more there to smell. It has a golden appearance. It has a bitter sweet citrus taste and a citrus aftertaste. It has a very light body with a thin texture and fairly carbonated. Not a bad beer but not really a fan. It’s an ok beer if you are into citrus flavored beers.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft: Hazy yellow, some lace/retention. Aroma is pale malt, light lemon, light grass. Light bodied, pretty thin but better than I expected.
