muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Feb 29, 2008 12 ounce bottle from City Market in Burlington, VT (February 2008), served at cellar temperature from a Duvel glass. The thick pure-white head fills half of the part of the glass not taken up by the opaque golden liquid; it doesn’t lace at all and decays quickly....pale/pils malts evident in the nose, hint of spicing, not unpleasant but nothing to get excited about either.....on the tongue, reasonably close to what it’s mimicing, with a decent blend of sweet-tart orange and sourdough characteristics, a bit of coriander, perhaps a touch of ginger....too sweet, a bit too strongly carbonated and too thin and watery, but really quite drinkable and not in the least offensive; might be A-B’s best beer now, certainly the first one I can remember thinking that I actually wouldn’t mind drinking again. For free, anyway.
bb (1978), Martinez, California, USA Jul 26, 2008 Bottle. Hazy golden-amber with a nice cream colored head. Wheat, light malt aroma with light fruitiness. Wheat, malt, tangerine flavor. Watery body. Lingering wheat, malt, and tangerine. BeerandBlues2 (2411), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jul 22, 2008 Draught at Anhueser-Busch Brewery in St. Louis. Pours hazy light yellow with an average, fizzy, white head, mostly lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (grain, hay, straw), light hops (flowers, grass), average yeast (sweat) with notes of dust. Light bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. alexkeil (12), USA Jul 20, 2008 I’ve had this both on tap and in the bottle - it actually is better in the bottle - the pale yellow color is awful. A light white beer with a combo of orange and lemon zest, good on intial taste but lags toward the end. Acceptable effort from AB but wouldn’t select it over Blue Moon junon (119), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Jul 20, 2008 Faint orange aroma and fainter still in taste. Appearance is cloudy however pale. This like a LITE witbier and as lite ast hey already? I get more flavor from my burps than I do the swigs. After all is said and done this is decent. msiano (22), Belmar, New Jersey, USA Jul 19, 2008 golden/orange color with a deep haze with a off white head. This seem like a average beer put out by Anheuser-Busch to Compete with Blue Moon.
