3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample at Kurtkeller 001: Pumpkin-tastic 01 on 11/22/2013. Dark brown pour with a thin beige head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of chocolate, malt and vanilla. Light-bodied with flavors of sweet cocoa, vanilla and malt. The finish is sweet with a pure milk chocolate aftertaste. Decent, although I don’t know what exactly qualifies it as "Belgian" unless it refers to the chocolate.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Pours murky dark brown with head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is milk chocolate, orange peel, and bready malts. Flavor is bland with mostly chocolate flavors, light vanilla sweetness, and a dry finish that leaves a somewhat bad aftertaste. Light/medium body.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep brown with hints of red where the light gets through on the edges. Fairly large head forms and is tan in color. Aromas of sweet chocolate and vanilla hit right up front. Fairly one dimensional, with sweet notes beginning to end.Starts with a vanilla sweetness that moves quickly to chocolate. Some grainy wheat notes on the back end of the drink.Low to medium in carbonation. Overall its smooth across the palate and extremely easy drinking.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
APPEARANCE - dark brown, light brown head which all but disappears immediately after pouring.
NOSE - slight bit of roastiness in there. Surprisingly little wheat beer character.
FLAVOR - direct hit of chocolate - not too much though. However, I’m bewildered trying to figure out how authentic the chocolaty sweetness is. The vanilla bean aging gives this nice balance.

Appearance is small tan head with a dark brown color. Aroma is strongly chocolate. Taste is a light chocolate like a scratch n sniff. Overall not a big fan - tastes too much like fake chocolate.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This one one of the better ones out of this year’s winter mixpack. Reminded me of last year’s Midnight Wheat. Balance could be a little better, but going in you’d expect that. Sort of a mix between a dunkel and light stout. I wouldn’t go out my way for this, but is a little above average and drinkable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s in a mixer sixer. Pours a deep brown appearance with a brown head. The aroma is full of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, mild dark fruit, coconut, and some sweetness. Fairly high carbonation. Kind of tastes like a milk chocolate with some orange. Lots of milk chocolate and vanilla. Not much at all on the aftertaste. Kind of strange but not hard to drink.
