3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lemke10 (539) - Janesville, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 20, 2013
This pours a light brown color with a foamy beige head. There is a slight scent of chocolate and chili spice mixed with wheat. This is a complex, darker wheat flavor with elements of chocolate and spice as it promises. Surprisingly decent for being an AB-InBev competition product to Blue Moon’s line.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 redpooba (372) - New York, USA - JAN 20, 2013
A caramel gold ale with a white head. Very little aroma, but the flavor is medium bodied and pretty rich. For those taking the narrow road in the crafty debate this is a no-no beer. But it actually has some good flavor notes.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BBB63 (5406) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - JAN 18, 2013
Bottle and served in my small Ayinger Hefe glass: Pours a brown hue with a lasting lovely beige head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of chocolate, wheat, coconut, pepper, cinnamon, and some bready esters. The taste is sort of like a dunkelweizen with carmel and chocolate malt notes along with some wheat and banana. The spice is mostly a quick hit towards the finish without much staying power. I expected more Midnight Wheat character and roast than this provided and sort of knew that the spice would be tepid. For what it is it is drinkable.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 onceblind (2532) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 17, 2013
Pours out a gorgeous hazy amber with a nice sized foamy white head. Faint but delightful nose of dark caramel, earthy wheat and some sort of near-chocolate malty sweetness like a dunklewiess. Flavor is a little too light, but tastes of dark sweet wheaty malts, light blonde cereal grains, a little pale cocoa, and a dry finish. Not terrible, but I just can’t reccomend this to anybody except those who already drink Shock Top.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with medium tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is cinnamon and spice. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet raisin malt and cinnamon spice in the finish. A good spice brew from Shock Top
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 travita (3034) - Frisco, Texas, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Bottle. The look is a light off white head, light orange in color. The smell is light, fruit, spice, and wheat. The taste is about the same. Just eh.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 Kblane88 (10) - - JAN 11, 2013
Like the apocalypse that never came, this beer disappoints. There’s a reason that the six pack has lasted since fall.

Bottle. Pours a hazy darker amber color with a slight white head. Nose has a lot of grains in it. Taste is much the same, Odd. Would not peg this as a wheat beer.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 wnoble (918) - French Lick, Indiana, USA - JAN 11, 2013
Pours medium brown. Nose has elements of citrus, roast and some toffee and sweet malts. Flavors, are coffee, touch of chocolates, oranges, citrus, bitter roast astringency, and a like drover warming character of the chilis. Not overly bad for having some many flavors going on.
