1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle @ home picked up in a mixer sixer at some dumpy liquor store in Fort Collins. Pours a murky orange appearance with a small, light brown head. Spicy chili, nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel, weird corny aroma. Not all that pleasant spicy chili, toasty malty, light chocolate flavor. Not very nice.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2013 Jan 27, 2013. Bottle pours clear light brown with red tones and 2 inch foamy beige head that dissipates quickly to a ring. There is a slight aroma of spice mixed with predominantly wheat smell. The elements of chocolate and spice come through more in flavour than aroma but still remains subtle. The palate is very light with a fizzy mouthfeel imparted by the chili and carbonation. The flavour is actually felt more than tasted with slight warming in aftertaste. Impressive twist on a simple wheat beer making it a good seasonal session. May have to drink a few in order to appreciate the subtle complexity. Ok I will, thanks.

Ordered this because my first selection was unavailable. Iím am not a fan of this brewer and the beer did not disappoint....it was horrible. The palate from the first sip was putrid, though it seemed to diminish as time beer warmed. And it got warm, it sat for a while. I was sipping it very reluctantly. Thankfully, I summoned the courage to gulp the rest. I will never try another shock top

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A nice brown body with a quickly dissipating brown head. There was some mild lace and a some carbonated look. Aroma had some nice wheat notes to it and the chocolate and cinnamon seemed to really come through. Flavor had nice chocolate notes that really brought out a nice chilli flavor that seemed hidden in the aroma. Soft wheat notes. Carbonation seemed to really be a bit to high, almost forced. That really took away from the beer. Overall it was decent.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Not bad. Dark amber in color, smooth drink. There is a bit of spice heat aftertaste. Not a very thick beer.. Medium consistency. Small hint of chocolate.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This pours a light brown color with a foamy beige head. There is a slight scent of chocolate and chili spice mixed with wheat. This is a complex, darker wheat flavor with elements of chocolate and spice as it promises. Surprisingly decent for being an AB-InBev competition product to Blue Moonís line.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A caramel gold ale with a white head. Very little aroma, but the flavor is medium bodied and pretty rich. For those taking the narrow road in the crafty debate this is a no-no beer. But it actually has some good flavor notes.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle and served in my small Ayinger Hefe glass: Pours a brown hue with a lasting lovely beige head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of chocolate, wheat, coconut, pepper, cinnamon, and some bready esters. The taste is sort of like a dunkelweizen with carmel and chocolate malt notes along with some wheat and banana. The spice is mostly a quick hit towards the finish without much staying power. I expected more Midnight Wheat character and roast than this provided and sort of knew that the spice would be tepid. For what it is it is drinkable.
