2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Amber pour with an off-white head. Actually a half-decent aroma. Banana, toasted bread, chocolate, and yeast. Mild spicing and a light cardboard quality. Kind of a watery flavor and a touch of cardboard, but not bad otherwise. Faint spice notes, hints of chocolate, banana, toast, and bread. Light in body and rather highly carbonated.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark amber with a fizzy/creamy beige head. Aroma is a dilute chocolate? Med body. Flavor is sort of the old style chocolate malt candy. Horlicks? Kind of dry, or at least not too sweet. Another AB beer which demands "why?"

Bottle. Poured hazy dark orange color with a large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with fair lacing. Moderate spice and chocolate aroma. Light to medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium spice sweet flavor with a medium spice finish of moderated duration. Refreshing soft beer.

1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle @ home picked up in a mixer sixer at some dumpy liquor store in Fort Collins. Pours a murky orange appearance with a small, light brown head. Spicy chili, nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel, weird corny aroma. Not all that pleasant spicy chili, toasty malty, light chocolate flavor. Not very nice.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Orange, cinnamon, and wheat malt aroma. Hazy orange-brown with small head. Sweet orange caramel malt and mildly bitter herbal hops flavor. Okay - probably the best of the Shock Tops.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12oz bottle to a pint glass, thanks to Callipalegic. Code on the neck reads 12279-DH45. Pours a hazy brown / red color. Lots of white flakes floating about in the glass. Good, thin off-white head. Leaves a little loose lace. Medium body. Smooth carbonation of moderate strength. Slight creaminess to the body. Some chocolate in the flavor, and light spiciness, over a wheat-bready malt base. Sweet taste overall, light spice. Interesting, but odd beer overall. I don’t really think the chocolate and spice notes work with the sweet wheat flavor of Shock Top. I appreciate that they’re trying something a little different, but it still tastes like an AB-InBev product.. There is a slight basic watery metallic bite in the finish. I was able to get through it without much trouble, but the lingering aftertaste doesn’t make me sad that it’s gone
