2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 scooterbub (661) - Lander, Wyoming, USA - DEC 16, 201212 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy brown with a nice one inch beige head that lasts. Taste is of roasted malt, coffee, wheat, citrus, chocolate, chili and some warming spices. Similar, clean aroma. Has a decent, lighter body with a slight bitter finish. Easy to drink and enjoyable. Kind of neat to see them expand the brand out like this.

Ummm, what is this supposed to be? Tastes like a home brewer’s first experiment. Too many differnet things going on, which don’t mix well. Stout, dunkel, witbier all mixed together. Looks good on paper, not so good in the glass....

No strong aromas. Subtle notes of malt and spice. Dark brown with a one head. Balanced without distinction or strong flavors. Light bodied with a quick finish.

12 oz bottle from a M&M 6-pack. Pours a hazy medium brown color with average off-white head and some lacing. Aroma is full of sweet malts, bread, vegetables and some plums. Hardly spicy at all, except in the aftertaste. Body is light to medium with soft carbonation. Taste is sweet with a slightly metallic finish. I’d call this one a watered-down doppelbock. Not as bad as I had feared, given this big brewer’s reputation here. At least I didn’t have to buy 6 of them.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 r464 (1464) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 1, 2013
Watery base with some cocoa, char, malt. Spice and vegetables. An odd combination, would not recommend.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 bagalagalaga (51) - Indiana, USA - MAR 24, 2013
Got this at one of the local place’s "get rid of crazy seasonals" sales. The box claimed there would be some chili in there, which I didn’t really pick up. Way more malt than wheat, the spices aren’t too overboard so you can actually have a couple of these in a row. Kind of watery for all the flavor that’s in it, like you dissolved some kind of baked good in a bottle.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Butters (3318) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAR 22, 2013
Murky purple pour with ring of offwhite head. Smells of plums and wheat. Flavors of old coriander, cocoa powder, and hints of lavender. A little like carboard tootsie rolls on the tail. Actually, it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. Kinda reminded me of a watery dopplebock.

Bottle. Poured hazy dark orange color with a large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with fair lacing. Moderate spice and chocolate aroma. Light to medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium spice sweet flavor with a medium spice finish of moderated duration. Refreshing soft beer.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 DrSilverworm (2701) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 21, 2013
12oz bottle to a pint glass, thanks to Callipalegic. Code on the neck reads 12279-DH45. Pours a hazy brown / red color. Lots of white flakes floating about in the glass. Good, thin off-white head. Leaves a little loose lace. Medium body. Smooth carbonation of moderate strength. Slight creaminess to the body. Some chocolate in the flavor, and light spiciness, over a wheat-bready malt base. Sweet taste overall, light spice. Interesting, but odd beer overall. I don’t really think the chocolate and spice notes work with the sweet wheat flavor of Shock Top. I appreciate that they’re trying something a little different, but it still tastes like an AB-InBev product.. There is a slight basic watery metallic bite in the finish. I was able to get through it without much trouble, but the lingering aftertaste doesn’t make me sad that it’s gone
