Out of Martinelli's? How about some Shock Top Honeycrisp Apple Wheat? Same flavor with alcohol! Thought this was rather refreshing on a hot day, but it's only sorta beer. Quite appropriate for a Kindergarten mixer with the single moms! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

~Smells similar to a green jolly rancher with a bit of cinnamon and bread. Very sweet. ~Pours a hazy golden white color with lasting white creamy head. ~Flavor is better than aroma as it has a bit more malty bready character. Still very tart and sweet like an apple jolly rancher. ~Medium light bodied, slightly creamy, medium high CO2, Sweet apple candy finish. ~Really too sweet. Taste like candy. Would make me sick if I drank more of this.

Been putting off tasting this. But the smell from the bottle is simply apple candy delicious. Apple like from the start on the taste buds and it does have a slight apple cider tartness to it that makes it much better than the average bullshit fruit beer. Looks like a good hefe. Yes, taste is rather friendly with a tart background. If this is artificial, its doing a good job of covering it up. Alky pop seems like less than 4% so I better be careful dunking these down. For something that seems so made up, this stuff is rather enjoyable, fun and easy. Same with finish. For some reason reminds of Christmas when I was a kid.

Bottle from Kroger. Almost hazy, light pour with little to no head. Aroma is almost cookie like. Pretty nice, actually. Taste is a little baking spice, lots of sweet apple, and then an awkward, dry finish.

Smells like sour apple juice. Pours murky orange/yellow with a thin head. Taste is too much apple, mixed in with a sour beer note.

This beer has the appearance of a typical unfiltered wheat. It is light gold with a cloudy whiteness to it. It smells strongly like cider but has a hint of beer aroma. It tastes more like beer than you would expect from the aroma but still has a distinct sweetness of apples to it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Cloudy golden with a small white head and not a whole lot of lacing. Aroma of apple and grain. Taste is basically apples, lots of them... some wheat in there too, very sweet. makes for a refreshing beverage not too bad.

Draft to taster. Looks okay; a hazy dark gold with thin white lacing. Smells of apple cider. Tastes like it smells, only not as good, with a light wheat presence and an average mouthfeel. Meh.

For a fruit oriented beer this was impressive. Great balance between tye apple and wheat flavors. Very enjoyable

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2013 I didn’t have high hopes with this one based on previous Shock Top varieties. Cloudy, light colored beverage. I was encouraged by this because i just don’t understand why cider in the fall is a deep amber color, but hard cider bought from the store looks like pale champagne. Aroma is cider. Has a quite good aroma...if it were a cider. Not much beer in the scent. This brew’s flavor is slightly tart and dry, with a hint of mediocre witbier peeking through. Together this amounts to a cider with a backbone. I like it, and would buy again. If they paired the cider with a better and more flavorful beer, then they’d really have something.
