Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a thin head. Smells like apples and sugar, but tastes a little let sweet. A little bit of a wheaty malty base to let you know it’s a flavored sugar beer and not a cider. I dunno man, it is what it is. You want some sweet ass apple beer you can slug down and share with your mom? Go for it, bro. You could probably do worse.

bottle. golden orange with small head. tastes fake as can be, like apple soda mixed with some beer. that said, it’s a nice combination.

FROTHINGSLOSH (5250) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 6, 2013
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-apricot color with a large foamy off white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was strong sweet caramel apple with a hint of bubblegum. The flavor was tart and tangy bubblegum, apple, faint caramel and a hint of yeast. Medium length finish of bubblegum, apple and yeast. Medium body. Pleasant.

Hazy golden coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall white head. Aroma of apples, sugar, fruits, alcohol and tons more apples - strong, but very fruity and sweet. Medium-bodied; Strong apple flavour with a hint of malt and a lot of sugars right behind. Aftertaste is almost all sugars with a very fruity flavour, a cider like flavour with some yeast and a hint of spices. Overall, a fairly easy-drinking, light apple beer with more cider tastes than wheats and a drink that most women would probably enjoy. That said, it wasn’t awful and sadly, drinkable. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 24-February-2013 for US$0.98 sampled at home in Washington on 04-March-2013.

Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow body with a small fizzy white head that faded very quickly to a wispy film. The nose is pretty obscene with the apples. Smells more like green apple Now & Laters than it does Honeycrisp apples. Rather tart and overly sweet smelling with just a minimal yeastiness. The flavor is still a bit off from Honeycrisp, which is one of my favorite apples. Can’t shake the resemblance to those green apple Now & Laters since I first thought of it. This is overly sweet and sugary with very little left to indicate that this is a beer. Lighter bodied but a little sticky and clingy from all the residual sweetness. Moderate fizzy and prickly carbonation. Not sure that I can finish a bottle of this, it’s kind of upsetting my stomach from all the sweetness.

12oz bottle picked up at Smiths
Appearance: Hazy orange with a medium sized white head, some lacing
Aroma: Apples, honey and cinnamon
Taste: Wheat, apples, honey and citrus
Not bad, better than the other shock tops I’ve had.

Bottle. Caramel and Granny Smith apple aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Sweet candied apple flavor with a light bitter finish. Better than most other Shock Top "beers" but still reminiscent of apple Kool-Aid or Slice Apple soda (for those who remember the apple drink craze in the early 80s).

Cloudy pale yellow color with small white head. Fragrant apple aroma. Not terrible as the wheat beer base comes through. The apple flavor is is sweet but not over-the-top. Apple is rather tart and a sweet aftertaste. It’s ok for what it is but couldn’t drink more than one.

It definitely tastes like artificial apple flavor. Not much in terms of a wheat beer.
