WHY ME GOD? WHY? In the interest of trying "something new" I bought this at the local gas statiion tonight. I wish I could blame this purchase on unbridled drunkenness, or the vagaries of youth. Woe is me, that is not to be. If you enjoy jolly ranchers, by all means help yourselves to this crap. If you enjoy the ladies hovering around you like flies around a pile of stinky horse dung, hang with the Blatz, and pass this grotty mess onto your younger brother who doesnít know any better. Stay thirsty my friends. But quench your thirst with a MANíS BEER: Blatz! Thatís how I roll. Shock Top, my ass.....you suck!

Nice combo of a hard cider and wheat beer, though the ratio would be better if it was shifted more towards the beer and less towards the cider.

Bottle. A curious blend of apple cider and wheat beer. Not quite a sweet as a pure hard cider. Overall quite refrehing! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is red apples and mild sweetness. The flavor is red apples, mild sweetness, an undercurrent of malts and a tart finish.

It poured a hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma was of wheat, honey , apples and some spice. The taste was similar to the aroma with a little bittersweet apple aftertaste. Not bad.

poursa semi-clear orange with a medium size white head that goes away but not completely, and pretty good lacing. smell is of apple, musty, and some yeast. taste is of sour green apple, a little sweetness in the back, and yeast. ends dry. more like a cider to me. dont see what the big hype is with all the kiddie drinking this all of a sudden.

12oz bottle poured hazy yellow color with white head. Aroma is big honey crisp apples, sweet and strong. Almost cidery. The flavor is smoother than the aroma. You get a good amount of the honey crisp apple and some cider but suprisingly it doesnít cover up the wheat which is right there. For that I give this kind of rating.

Drank from the bottle, didnít have high hopes for this one. Aroma is like apple cider. Flavor was really appley with a middle taste that felt like it was going flavorless/ cardboard but finished tart apples. I think the wheat is the weird middle section. Maybe they should have just made cider, it would have been better. Better than I thought but awkward.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a murky dark yellow with no head. Aroma of an artificial green apple sucker. Taste is light sweet and light sour. Fake green apple flavor dominates. Light bodied with a thin yet sticky texture. Fizzy carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, meh. About what would be expected from Shock Top.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours dirty hazy gold with a creamy/fizzy white head. Aroma is very fresh apple. I guess the Honeycrisp variety has a lot of aroma. Med minus body. The combination starts strange, and goes towards a cardboardy beer, finishing fairly sweet with some "crisp" apple notes. Lingering flavor is tart/sweet apple. Probably would seem better on a dry hot day.
