Great flavor of a cider and a beer in one. Classic shock top logo. Apple taste is not artificial.

Drank from can. Smells like a green apple jolly rancher and tastes like it too. Slightly artificial in flavor. Hint of apple cider sourness in the finish. Not terrible but not something I’ll ever go back to.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
This stuff smells and tastes exactly like a spiced version of Woodchuck Cider or any of those apple flavored alcoholic soda pops. The main difference is this is a little skunky, which is just bizarre. It’s in a bown bottle and how much hops can be possibly in this crap anyway. It pours a headless cloudy orange and has fairly mild carbonation. It claims to be a hybrid but this is really more of a cider than a beer--though not really a good cider. I suppose this stuff serves a certain purpose for a lot of people but it is not exactly what I’d call a sophisticated beverage, designed and intentended for consumption by adults.

12 oz bottle from Kroger. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have wheat malts, tart apples, light earthy character, thin, but better than I thought it would be.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12oz bottle from Orchard Fresh, Orchard Park, NY. I was rather apprehensive having read some of hte other reviews of this, but actually it’s (slightly) better than I was expecting. It’s an unappetising hazy straw pour with a thin white head; the aroma is of fresh apple, rather than cider; the taste is of rather sweet fresh apple juice as well, with an underlyign grainy body from the wheat; the finish is crisp, clean and refreshing.

Can from Albertson’s. Cidery up front with a hint of the wheat ale. Some cider sweetness follows. Fairly refreshing with a strong cider component. Good summer refresher.

This was an abomination, It was sickly sweet and belongs down a drain. It taste of mixing Strong bow cider with cruddy lager. No fridge in the hotel room, so they only got worse the warmer they got. The dreaded sugar syrup coats your tongue to further ruin your day.

This was a single bottle from the supermarket, else I wouldn’t be rating it now. Yellow bodied with lots of bubbling and a short creamy head, this has a very sweet (yucky sweet) aroma. Besides the sugar (not honey), there’s fresh apples along with the skins and a touch of white flour. The flavor isn’t quite so sweet as the nose, apples and skins with some bread dough. Actually drinkable, but this is both my first and my last.
