12 oz bottle says 5.2%. Poured into a Samuel Smith pint glass. A: Pours a hazy golden color. The head is a quick-fading two finger white shade. Not the most aesthetically pleasing brew. S: Is this beer, or is it cider? There are strong apple tones throughout, along with a bit of tartness and some diacetyl. Jolly Ranchers come instantly to mind here. The minor beer qualities here arenít too hot. T: This may well be cider, with its big sweetness and apple flavors, but thereís also some finishing diacetyl that I could do without. The malty finish tries to balance some of the cider sweetness...only it turns it into beery sweetness thatís a bit more unpleasant. None of the advertised spices come through well. M: Thick and sweet, as expected. Lots of carbonation, too. The problem here is that itís so damn sweet that it kills drinkability - and it canít get away with it the way a pure commercial cider like Angry Orchard can. O: I totally get this point of this product, combining a sweet apple cider with a generic witbier - the problem is it tries to be everything to everyone, and as a result, doesnít do either the cider or the beer aspect well enough to appeal to discerning craft beer/cider drinkers (plus the whole "itís made by AB-InBev" thing). Not bad for a malternative, though.

Cloudy golden color with decent apple aroma. Flavor seemed artificial to me. Body was solid. Average in total.

12oz bottle. Pours out a straw color topped with a white head. Nose is green apple jolly ranchers and cinnamon. Taste is more of the fake green apple taste along with some sweetness.

Draft during RBSG 2014 at the Anheuser-Busch Biergarten. Hazy apricot yellow with off-white head. Aromas of big apples. Tastes of big apples, wheat, citrus. Light body with a dry finish. Decent.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is all apple. I could small it as I was pouring it from the can. Flavor is again all apple. This is very sweet and way artificial. There is no way AB could get this apple flavor and aroma naturally. A buck for the can b/c I wanted something light.

June Apple aroma. Tastes like apple jolly rancher. Not sure if this is beer or cider. Not a fan

Draft at the Anheuser-Busch Biergarten after a brewery tour. Pours a dull, hazy yellow-orange with a big white head. Notes of apples, wheat, candy, and honey. Medium-bodied, with high carbonation and a muddled mouthfeel. Not much to it. But it smells good. And that gives it the edge over other fruited Shock Tops.

Draft on tap at the Anheuser Busch Brewery (St. Louis, MO). Pours a well hazed golden amber hue, good haziness and frothy whitish head dies to a mellow ring, laces small. Aromas are potently sweet, apple nectar, sweet sugar and touches of gentle spice, apple pie, flaked wheat and a bit bready. Initial is sweet, almost sickly so. Faint citrus, apple pie and jolly ranchers. Sweeter, not sticky with that potent artificial apple candy flavors. Finish is a touch sticky, red apple and faint spice, deadened wheaty malts. Wow. Thatís sweet and a bit messy, but I bet it sells
