It definitely tastes like artificial apple flavor. Not much in terms of a wheat beer.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of heavy sour green apple that makes me think of sour green apple lollipops or bubblegum. That’s pretty much all there is when it comes to the aroma. I wouldn’t call the aroma bad, but it is a bit much. It pours slightly hazy dull golden-orange with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. There is some sporadic thin rings left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate apple that is more apple juice than the candy-ish sour apple in the aroma. The finish has a touch of wheat and grass. It’s light-medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation that is a tad fizzy at times. Overall, I expected this to be much worse. I’d never buy a 6-pack, but I certainly wouldn’t refuse to drink it again. I’m sure it would be pretty refreshing on a hot day.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Ugh. Barely beer. It pours the traditional color of wheat beer, with little to no head. Aroma follows taste with an overly sweet and sour apple edge. This lacks any of the fine carbonation you’d tend to find in a good cider like Crispin. The body is very thin and and unpleasing to the palate. Just like Guinness Black Lager, I would not try this Honeycrisp Apple Wheat again.

Strong apple aroma but not seamlessly integrated into the beer. A bit funky at the end. Pretty sweet but not too much. It’s ok but I’d rather have cider.

2.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
It’s cheaper for brewers to make apple flavored beer than real hard cider.
I get that. What I don’t get is why anyone would drink apple flavored beer rather than real cider. Real cider is better and worth the extra money.
This is rather dry. And the wheat characteristics shows through the fake apple flavor. Not horrible but not good either. Bottle.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours gold with no head. Aroma of artificial apple cider, sweet and fake. Taste is apples, then a fake cider sweetness, then an awful stale malt aftertaste. This is pretty bad

3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a glass. Pours hazy pale yellow with medium off-white head. Medium carbonation, no lacing, and nice tart apple aroma. Taste is apple and soft wheat. If the taste matched the aroma this be would be good.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Taste good but it leaves the pallet quickly. All in all not a bad beer though. I have had other apple or cider beers and this is very crisp tasting. I just wish the taste stayed.

From 12oz bottle to tulip. Pour is a milky yellow, thin active head that quickly disappeared. Nose is heavy green apple, other citrus, smells like a green jolly rancher. Taste is very light, sweet. Highly carbonated, finishes smooth but with that carbonation bite. For a mainstream InBev company, not terrible. However not a beer I’m going to seek out anytime soon.
