UPDATED: NOV 7, 2014 Tap: At a Toby Keith concert. I hate county. What is my life right now? Dingy, golden-yellow, murky and hazy with a thin, wispy white head that reduces to a ring in record time. Aroma is light lemon zest, slightly tart lemon juice, faint grainy and wheaty underbody... That’s about it. Artificially sweet lemons. Taste is disappointing, too. Lots of grains and malts up front with sweet lemon throughout. Overdone, artificial, and just not that good. Lightly tart in the middle, but it fades to a big sweetness in the finish. Aftertaste of grains and lemon. I’d pick Leinie’s Summer Shandy over this one any day.

Pours a hazy yellow with a lemon smell. The taste of this is more like lemonade with beer flavor than a beer with lemon flavor. Nice on a hot day and very refreshing. It is very good for what it is, do not go into this one thinking that the lemon flavor will be subtle it does taste like beer lemonade.

On first appearance this beer is a little cloudy like most wheat beers but the color is much brighter than any other I have encountered before. The head on this beer did not last long, maybe a minute. It is light and a little spritzy. I was expecting something with a more distinct lemon flavor. Now while beer does have a stronger citrus flavor than say Blue Moon it lacks anything that defines it as lemon. It doesn’t leave a bad flavor in my mouth but rather feels like water going down and not the good quenching flavor either. Overall this beer lacks from not being bold enough, needing a little pow with the lemon and a little more body to it

Sample. Light cloudy yellow pour with a fizzy head. Lemon and sugar are all that comes to mind for the smell. The flavor is super sweet with lemon, sugar, and light spice. Way too sweet for me but decent enough on a hot day.

Bottle direct. Fairly bad with just enough wheat to be able to make that claim.

Tap at Commons. Thank you Dedicatedtofun. Low haze straw. Weaker white foam. Nose is pretty nice lemonade. Taste is decently refreshing, sort of like normal Shock Top blended with lemonade. Inoffensive. Some soapiness and mealy, chalky apple.

From start to finish, one of the most unique beers on the market. Nice aroma, lovely finish, and tastes like it says.
