1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
bottle - Pours very pale, cloudy yellow with a small, white, fizzy head. It has a mild lemon aroma and a sweet, lemony flavor. It’s thin, bland, and kind of refreshing, but water is refreshing and it’s a lot cheaper.

A really unique beer. Not only is the lemon taste prominent but it is not overpowering. A very refreshing beer.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle: pours a hazy yellow with a big white head. I can smell the lemons before I even put my nose to this one... The surprising part is that the taste is not overpowered by them... it’s a nice, refreshing wit beer, that is backed up afterwards by a refreshing lemon "wash" if you want to call it that. It leaves you feeling...well... refreshed. it’s really good actually. It makes me want to sit in the sun, pounding these all day.

First off, by way of disclosure, I was sent a six-pack by the Shock Top brand manager for review (see it on You Tube as a "One-Take Beer Review"). Second off, I kind of surprised myself by liking it. But take that with a grain of salt of you want. Pour a very fizzy head over a pale, hazy beer body. Lemon smell is not as pronounced as I thought, in fact there’s more of the wit spiciness in the nose than I would have expected. No Lemon Pledge flavor, just a lemony backbone. I wish they would stop dancing around label requirements for the vague ingredient "Natural Lemonade Flavor," but I’m going to say this stands out pretty well against all the other lemonade-diluted Summer Shandys.

An adequate quaff. Cheap, but refreshing. Shocktop is a nice brewery, but nothing to get excited about.

Bottle from Wegman’s leesburg. Pours yellow with a thin white head. Smells like corn and a hint of artificial lemon flavoring. Mouthfeel is a bit slick. Tastes of artificial lemon and a slight corn oil note. Finishes badly. Just awful!

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
12oz, twist-off bottle. Yellow label. Pours cloudy gold color. no head. Aroma of a wheat ale with lemon Pledge added to it. Tastes like wheat ale with artificial lemon flavor and a touch of vomit added. Gross and not refreshing. It is a lightly flavored, Wheat Beer, thin and watery. Its a waste of time unless you are a girl that doesn’t have taste buds. (3377)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy pale yellow with active carbonation. Aroma of lemons. Sweet and mellow and creamy with a crisp clean bite and a dry finish. The lemon is present but not overbearing.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pint on tap at local baseball game. Light golden color. Aroma is sweet and like acidy lemon juice. Taste is pretty simple, like lemonade with a little hint of a wheat beer. Pretty simple, refreshing on a hot day but by no means an exceptional beer, was exactly what I had expected.

This wasn’t anything special. Original Shock Top is way better. If you want a lemonade flavored drink, go with Jeremiah Weed mixed with lemonade. This crap is garbage.
