2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled. Poured slightly pale golden with a short white head. The aroma picked up candied lemons and very little else.. some floral notes and dank wheat, but mostly lemon. The flavor found almost buttery wheat and generic pale malts at the core.. candied lemon and light tanginess from lemon and wheat around.. finished with residual muddled sugars with a kiss of lemon. Soft on the palate with high, rolling carbonation.. more sugars where it needed a little tartness to keep it interesting on the edges.. solid feel and flow. This was drinkable, but I don’t care to do it again.

"Natural lemonade flavor"? Not sure what that is but it does successfully avoid tasting artificial. Light lemony aroma and taste over a weak but inoffensive wheat.

Hazy straw color. Smells like shock top. Maybe the soapy-est tasting beer I’ve ever had. I rarely pour one out, but this sucks. Even for shock top.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
The aroma is dusty with dish water and lemon candy. The appearance is hazy gold with a nice head. The taste is pretty much like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall not much here seems like a fake out.

Light and refreshing. Less flavor and less put together than Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy but still a decent summer offering that’s a little different than some of the others.

12oz bottle, thanks to Jimmy. Mildly hazy paler yellow color. Bubbles on the side of the glass. Minimal white head, fades to nothing. I’m definitely tasting the "Lemonade Flavor Added." Just tastes like a weak wheat with some lemonade "flavor" -- whatever that means. Sharper carbonation. More dry finish, but slightly syrupy aftertaste.. Just a sweet taste, nothing else. The label claims this is a "Belgian-Style Wheat Beer", but this is nothing like that. As the beer warms up slightly, some slight skunky notes start to show up (nose-smell isn’t great either). I haven’t had too many shandies, but surely there are better examples of the style. A reasonably drinkable sweet beer, though. I can understand why people who don’t know better would be fans of this stuff (sorry Jimmy)
