2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
It pours a semi-clear pale yellow hue with a quickly dissipating head. The scent is mild with creamy wheat and lemon aroma. The texture is slightly creamy with cheap grains and lemon hitting the taste buds rather weakly. This is essentially Bud’s version to compete with Miller’s distributed Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy. It’s a decent summer beer…maybe? I guess I would have to try both of them at the same time to give an honest opinion of which one is better but I have yet to have a shandy that tops Potosi Steamboat Shandy on draft. Overall this is average, maybe a little better but nothing that amazes me that much.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz bottle, hazy, golden yellow, rocky head, slight aroma, heavy cloying sweetness, lightly sour/tart taste to it. Not one of the better fruit beers, but I guess I could see how otheres would enjoy this, just not really for me.,

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy pale yellow color with a huge foamy white head that lingered and left some lacing. The aroma was tart citrus and chalk. The flavor was tart, dry and chalky with faint lemon. Medium finish. Light body. Uninspired.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: NOV 11, 2012 Pours cloudy light gold with a thin head. Dominant lemon aroma. Taste was strongly lemon with malt and hops. Decent enough shandy, I prefer Leinies’ but this one will do.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured a cloudy yellow-gold with a light head that faded away rather quickly. Aroma was of lemon, malt and a general light fruitiness. Taste was dominated by lemon with malt backbone and a mild hop finish. Palate was OK. Overall, an average shandy but still drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
THOUGHTS: Like a wit beer and a shandy had a baby. Sort of like lemon and lemon peel were used to brew a wit instead of orange peel. It had a lot more flavor than I remember Leinenkugel Summer Shandy having. Just a great summer refresher.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a very cloudy, medium to dark, muddy yellow with an average, ever so slightly off-white head that mostly diminished. The aroma had light to moderate wheat; moderate yeast; lemon and lemonade. The initial flavor was slightly sweet and light to moderately acidic; while the finish was slight to lightly sweet, moderately acidic and slightly bitter. There was lemon, lemonade, wheat, yeast and a little orange. The nearly medium body was fairly dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry and lightly astringent finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle. Hey I got this "summer beer " in mid September on clearance for $9.99 a case - so I am not complaining!
12 oz bottle.
Pours a cloudy light golden with a quickly diminishing white head. Barely there aroma with some mown grass notes, just a brief hint of lemon., slightly tangy. Flavor is very subdued. Faint traces of watered down lemonade, a hint of yeast, not much else. Mouthfeel is leaning to the thin side. Can be very refreshing if served ice cold.
I see where some here are hating on this beer, but for a "mass produced Shandy- this is not bad. A lot of the ladies will like this.
Not a hand crafted "throwback" English Shandy by any means.
