2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured a cloudy yellow-gold with a light head that faded away rather quickly. Aroma was of lemon, malt and a general light fruitiness. Taste was dominated by lemon with malt backbone and a mild hop finish. Palate was OK. Overall, an average shandy but still drinkable.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
DATE: August 14, 2016... OCCASION: Returning home from a great time at Penn State with Jer...watching the Olympics and trying to cool down...GLASSWARE: PSU weizen... sparse bubbles settle through a murky yellow gold body... the head is off-white and finishes before it begins to a pencil-thin circle.... lemon grass and citric juices mingle with malt liquor malts and throat lozenge to suggest this might have some work to do... first sip is light, fizzy, active at the tongue, short on its finish--perhaps this is a good thing, as the beefy, obscure flavor makes for a forgettable finish...overall, drinkable, if not somewhat bland... flavor profile is singularly lemonade, with malty sweetness providing some backbone and attempting balance to an otherwise lemony experience... tough to get behind this one when not trying to stave off the sun or the heat; in an air-conditioned room, this beer doesn’t really win...

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a lightly hazy yellow with a small white head that leqves good lacing. Nose is of floor cleaner - err, lemon - and that’s about it. Taste is of lemon indeed and moderately sweet. Body is medium and carbonation moderate. A fair radler, I don’t know much about them but this compares well with the latest ones I’ve had.

Draft. Semi-clear yellow with white head. Aroma is lemon and light malts. Taste is lemon soda mixed with bland lager. Light mouthfeel, medium carbonation and citric aftertaste. Not very good as a "beer" but quite a nice option to a soda.

Can LCBO: yellow Cloudy beer with tiny head. Lemongrass, pine and lemon rind in the taste and nose. Watery and papery mouthfeel. Good enough for a hot day during the euro cup

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy yellow with bit of a puffy head. Aroma is sweet and almost ginger ale like. Anything lemony is weak. I keep on thinking ginger ale and not lemon. Light body but a refreshing feel after drinking.

Hazy yellow pour, thin white head. Tangy lemon aroma. Much, much sweeter than expected for a lemon base. This could be a dessert beer.

12 oz. bottle. Poured hazy yellow with a dissipating white head. Aroma was lemons and sweet lemonade. Taste was very sweet and tart lemonade. Couldn’t drink more than one or two of these in a night, just to sweet.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a cloudy yellow color. Not much head. Okay head retention, okay lacing. Looks a lot like lemonade.
Aroma is not super lemony, in fact barely at all. I smell more wheat than lemon.
Fortunately, some lemon comes in on the taste. But it’s more like lemon zest. Taste is not tart, mostly sweet, and biscuity.
Mouthfeel is very light and supremely drinkable. It is very refreshing.
Overall, this is a decent shandy. It is perfect for its intended purpose, which is a light summertime hot day refreshment. More accurately would be a lemon wheat beer. I would certainly consider a sixer of this for an afternoon of yard work. I think I like Leinenkugels better. Usually, I find Shock Top products disappointing, but this is the best one I’ve had yet.

For a summer shandy its just not right. Ive had a few others and this just did not go down right. Its still an ok beer, but i would label it a lemon wheat beer not a full in summer shandy.

At home from the bottle. Tart, overly sweet fake lemon flavored beer. Citrus, yeast, lemon drop with a mild beer after taste. Came across as more of a yeasty wine cooler to me. If you like the flavor of lemon drops and sweet drinks then this may appeal to you. I am pouring the rest down the drain.
