3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
THOUGHTS: Like a wit beer and a shandy had a baby. Sort of like lemon and lemon peel were used to brew a wit instead of orange peel. It had a lot more flavor than I remember Leinenkugel Summer Shandy having. Just a great summer refresher.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a very cloudy, medium to dark, muddy yellow with an average, ever so slightly off-white head that mostly diminished. The aroma had light to moderate wheat; moderate yeast; lemon and lemonade. The initial flavor was slightly sweet and light to moderately acidic; while the finish was slight to lightly sweet, moderately acidic and slightly bitter. There was lemon, lemonade, wheat, yeast and a little orange. The nearly medium body was fairly dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry and lightly astringent finish.

Bottle: A waste of lemons (actually ínaturalí lemonade flavor), water, glass, paper and aluminum. Food Pairing: Just about anything.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: DEC 4, 2013 Tap: dingy, golden-yellow, murky and hazy with a thin, wispy white head that reduces to a ring in record time. Aroma is light lemon zest, slightly tart lemon juice, faint grainy and wheaty underbody... Thatís about it. Artificially sweet lemons. Taste is disappointing, too. Lots of grains and malts up front with sweet lemon throughout. Overdone, artificial, and just not that good. Lightly tart in the middle, but it fades to a big sweetness in the finish. Aftertaste of grains and lemon. Iíd pick Leinieís Summer Shandy over this one any day.

2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light and refreshing. Less flavor and less put together than Leinenkugelís Summer Shandy but still a decent summer offering thatís a little different than some of the others.

Ehh - tastes like any other Shock Top, but this time itís full of LEMON. The scent is ok, some yeast and fruity aromas, but the flavor is like soggy bread revived by lemon zest.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Poured a hazy yellowish color. No head on this one. Aroma was all lemon and some malts. Flavor was acacidic lemon notes and infused fruits. Not a whole lot to this beer.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle - drank from bottle, so did not actually see the beer, although I canít imagine it was anything special - typical lemon shandy, pretty much a half beer/half lemonade. Would probably be good on a hot summer day in a refreshing way.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy pale yellow with active carbonation. Aroma of lemons. Sweet and mellow and creamy with a crisp clean bite and a dry finish. The lemon is present but not overbearing.

341 ml bottle from the Summer Variety pack, the best of the bunch, which isnít saying much. Mostly clear yellow, fine white foam. Lemony aroma and taste, mildly malty. Average carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Inoffensive refreshing hot day beverage. MLF (More Lagerboy Friendly)

Definitely natural lemon flavor and not as sweet as others bit it doesnít mean itís good.
