3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
THOUGHTS: Like a wit beer and a shandy had a baby. Sort of like lemon and lemon peel were used to brew a wit instead of orange peel. It had a lot more flavor than I remember Leinenkugel Summer Shandy having. Just a great summer refresher.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a very cloudy, medium to dark, muddy yellow with an average, ever so slightly off-white head that mostly diminished. The aroma had light to moderate wheat; moderate yeast; lemon and lemonade. The initial flavor was slightly sweet and light to moderately acidic; while the finish was slight to lightly sweet, moderately acidic and slightly bitter. There was lemon, lemonade, wheat, yeast and a little orange. The nearly medium body was fairly dry with fizzy carbonation and a dry and lightly astringent finish.

0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Bottle: A waste of lemons (actually ’natural’ lemonade flavor), water, glass, paper and aluminum. Food Pairing: Just about anything.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle - drank from bottle, so did not actually see the beer, although I can’t imagine it was anything special - typical lemon shandy, pretty much a half beer/half lemonade. Would probably be good on a hot summer day in a refreshing way.

Definitely natural lemon flavor and not as sweet as others bit it doesn’t mean it’s good.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Shock Top Lemon Shandy has a thin, white head, a cloudy, yellow-gold appearance, some bubble streams, and no lacing left behind. The aroma is of light wheat bread, mainly, with a background lemony note. Taste is of a stronger lemonade and sugary aspect, with a noticeable and pleasant wheat bread component. Mouthfeel is on the light side, and Shock Top Lemon Shandy finishes somewhat tart and very easy drinking. RJT

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
341 ml bottle from the Summer Variety pack, the best of the bunch, which isn’t saying much. Mostly clear yellow, fine white foam. Lemony aroma and taste, mildly malty. Average carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Inoffensive refreshing hot day beverage. MLF (More Lagerboy Friendly)

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Ehh - tastes like any other Shock Top, but this time it’s full of LEMON. The scent is ok, some yeast and fruity aromas, but the flavor is like soggy bread revived by lemon zest.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Poured a hazy yellowish color. No head on this one. Aroma was all lemon and some malts. Flavor was acacidic lemon notes and infused fruits. Not a whole lot to this beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy pale yellow with active carbonation. Aroma of lemons. Sweet and mellow and creamy with a crisp clean bite and a dry finish. The lemon is present but not overbearing.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not gonna lie, I find this refreshing and enjoy the flavor. Crisp wheat ale mixed with tangy lemonade. Nothing awesome, but definitely easy drinking. During the summer, why not?
