Clear yellow with a small white head. The aroma is full of lemons with a hint of biscuit malt. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of sweet lemon notes with a hint of tartness and some malty, sugary biscuit notes. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Bleh.

Bottle. Ugh. How did the definition of shandy get linked with lemonade? In my European experiences, they were made with lemon soda (ie, 7Up, which in some places is called ’lemonade’, but ain’t). This drinks like I guess they intended ... mostly bad, industrial lemonade, with a splash of bad, industrial beer. (#4590, 5/7/2012)

Tallahassee, Fl - Publix Supermarket - Lake Ella. Pours a cloudy light golden with a quickly diminishing white head. Barely there aroma with some mown grass notes, just a brief hint of lemon. Flavor is very subdued. Faint traces of watered down lemonade, a hint of yeast, not much else. Mouthfeel is leaning to the thin side. Might be very refreshing if served ice cold I imagine.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from Kroger. Pours a hazy lemon yellow color with a fleeting small white head. The aroma and flavor have light pale malts, lemon juice, some sweetness, a hint of spice, this doesn’t have very many redeeming qualities in my opinion. I will not revisit.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a hazy gold with white lacing. Smells of wheat and mild lemonade. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Not a bad shandy.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sampled on 4/11/2012. This fruit beer/shandy pours a slightly hazy yellow gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with a quickly disappearing head. The aroma is slightly grassy and sweet with some lemon flavor. A light bodied fruit beer/shandy. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal. Not sure just what I was expecting with this one. I had full expectations of it being like those horrid German raddlers that I have sampled before. Its more like a slightly alcoholic mild lemonade, so its better than the ones I have had in the past. That said its still very unbeer like, the lemon flavor is a little artificial tasting and its malts and hops are really toned down. It is un-offensive but there is really nothing here strong enough tasting to offend. Good carbonation. Would make a decent summer drink, but I don’t think I can call it a beer. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Bottle. Hazy medium gold with a pillowy bright white head. The nose smells like cheap lemon candy, artificial. There is also some hint of soap. The taste is fairly sweet. It’s like mixing the regular meh shock top wit with a cheap lemonade. Wow, pretty much exactly what you would expect. Not too bad and the sweetness is tempered after a few drinks. A bland cardboard finish.

12oz. Bottle: Faint aroma of fake lemon. Poured yellow in color with no head. Cloudy. Sparkling. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of bad lemonade and grains. Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Lightly sweet, lemon and grain finish.

Sampled at Heritage Fest. Because why not? Hazy white gold. A lemon nose, as expected. Wheat notes are almost zero. Lemon woth a little malt. Ok, I did it.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy pale yellow color with a huge foamy white head that lingered and left some lacing. The aroma was tart citrus and chalk. The flavor was tart, dry and chalky with faint lemon. Medium finish. Light body. Uninspired.
