1.2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Can from the LCBO. For my review of this beverage, I would first like to dissect its ingredients list. First, I have to ask: Why does there need to be an ingredients list? Is this were a proper all-natural shandy, the ingredients would be simple: beer and lemonade. But instead, there are 8 ingredients listed, several of which I canít pronounce and/or donít know what they are. The first two are "Beer" and "Ale" - wait, arenít they the same thing? Whatís going on here that they need to be listed seperately? Next up is "Sugar" - I know what that is, but have to wonder how much if it was used in order for it to be listed so high up on the list. "Citric Acid" - I guess that will maybe balance the sugar? "Natural Lemonade Flavour" - is this even a thing? Why not just lemon juice? "Acacia Gum" - last I checked this was a thickening agent. So why is it in a liquid? "Modified Coconut Oil (Medium Chain Triglycerides)" - shitís starting to get a bit weird now. "Sucrose Acetate Isobutyrate" - right, that doesnít sound like something I want to be putting into my body. Oh, I need to drink it now? Well, it doesnít actually look that bad - nice hazy light gold body, small and tight white head. But the aroma - my god, itís like someone doused rubber tires with lemon dishwashing liquid and nail polish remover and then lit them on fire. Just horrendous. The flavour is mercifully a bit better, but the "natural" lemon flavour still has a strong artificial/chemical character to it. Barely a quarter of the way into the glass and it starts to remind me of Neo Citran. And then itís down the drain with the rest of this truly awful "beer"...

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sample @ Pickís Liquors. Lightly cloudy gold with minimal head. Aroma of wheat and lemon pine-sol. Taste is light sweet. They get extra points here just because the lemonade flavor seemed natural, unlike some of the other "shandy" beers Iíve had. Light bodied with a sticky texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not that bad. Not exactly my style but Iíll keep it in mind if Iím ever feeling a shandy. Would make a great lawnmower beer...if I had a lawn to mow

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium, short lived, fizzy head, with no lacing over a hazy, yellow (SRM 3) fizzy body.....nose is lemonade, hints of wheat malts, no hops, esters, beer character.....taste is moderately sweet lemonade, minimal hops, no esters.....mouth feel, light body, light acid, high carbonation makes for many belches, finally it has a long lingering sweetness. This is really not particularly good as the underlying beer is well disguised. BJCP 5/2/9/4/5

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
A sample among six of its kind. My second favorite. Pours pale yellow with a small head. The aroma is like a wheat beer with some lemonade. The flavor has a bit of beer but mostly lemonade. This one tasted more like concentrate.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
First off, by way of disclosure, I was sent a six-pack by the Shock Top brand manager for review (see it on You Tube as a "One-Take Beer Review"). Second off, I kind of surprised myself by liking it. But take that with a grain of salt of you want. Pour a very fizzy head over a pale, hazy beer body. Lemon smell is not as pronounced as I thought, in fact thereís more of the wit spiciness in the nose than I would have expected. No Lemon Pledge flavor, just a lemony backbone. I wish they would stop dancing around label requirements for the vague ingredient "Natural Lemonade Flavor," but Iím going to say this stands out pretty well against all the other lemonade-diluted Summer Shandys.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle: Pale yellow color with a bit of white head. Lemony, both in taste and smell. Actually a good, fresh lemon presence. A little thin, but OK. Has it been called cheerleader beer yet?

Pours a hazy golden yellow on tap with thin white head and light lacing. Aroma and taste is lemon over the top. Wow, real weird, lemonade type flavor.
