Bottle. Dark copper color. Aroma of pumpkin and sweet wheat. Simple taste of sweet chemical pumpkin and wheat. Not good, but not nearly as bad as most ratings make it to be.

12oz bottle to tulip. Pours clouded deep amber red, small ring white head. Aroma of pumpkin pulp, cinnamon, and spices. Taste of the same with caramel, gingerbread, and clove. Mouthfeel is light-medium, watery, good carb. Finish is lightly spiced.

Poured from a bottle. Cloudy yellowish-orange. Small head, no lacing. Grassy aroma, understated pumpkin taste. Good combination.

Pours a very cloudy orange color. Pretty big white head, goes away quick. Nothing exciting here.

Aroma is weird. Itís like a can of pumpkin pie mix. Yes, I smell pumpkin, and spices, and crust. But it doesnít smell like pie. Itís light on the nose.

I taste lots of crust. Nutmeg is pretty strong. Thereís other spices too, but not so easy to pick out. Pumpkin is there, but not too strong. I guess itís malty in taste. Iím not sure.

Mouthfeel is pretty good. Itís pretty smooth and pretty drinkable. Itís creamy. It finishes slightly spicy.

Overall Iím not particularly a fan. Itís like most if not all Shock Tops, not memorable. I wonder if all Shock Tops start off as one and flavoring is added to make the product. But thereís something off about this. Itís okay, but it could stand to be more bold, or more spicy, or something. Anything. I really didnít like it at first, but Iíve changed my tune as Iíve had more and more. If you want a pumpkin beer, try something else.

Itís pretty good for a pumpkin beer. Itís a good cold weather brew. Pumpkin spice and cinnamon are prevelent. Itís decent.

Btl pours a light amber color with a fizzy white head that vanished quickly leaving no lace. Smells of spice nutmeg, cloves and ginger with a hint of vegetal gourd aroma. Tastes of pumpkin pie ,cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, crust and squash. Light body, under carbonated, watery mouthfeel and a tingly, spicy finish. Beer has nice aromas, a decent pumpkin pie flavor. The light body and weird mouthfeel just donít work for me. The spices are not overwhelming. It is drinkable but probably wonít try again.

Considering the local temperature in the 90ís fall is in the air and in this case in the bottle. Pours a thick cloudy carmel color, strong aroma of pumpkin and spice. much like pumpkin pie in a bottle but the taste does not last and goes a bit flat. very little bitterness. overall not abad beer.

Rated based on notes taken 26 Aug 2012 -- a pumpkin from Shocktop? Pretty much as youíd expect: artificial and watery.
