Better than I thought it would be. My hopes were not very high. Overall I think the Belgian white style of beer took the pumpkin and spices very well.

12oz twist-off bottle. Cloudy amber color. Aroma of heavy pumpkin spice. Tastes of watery squash juice. Finishes with a nutmeg, cinnamon spice tingle on the palate. I can say Iíve tried (tickíd) it.

Pours slightly hazed deep amber into a shaker. White head recedes at a medium pace leaving no lacing. Sweet pumpkin and nutmeg aromas. Dry with bubblegum and pumpkin upfront turning to earthy pumpkin before the lasting slightly sour finish.

Light brown pour. Aroma of brown sugar, cinnamon, and spices. Typical sweet pumpkin spice cocktail. Maybe a very small amount of actual pumpkin. Light wheat beer taste. A little watery. Average. Worth getting if youíre in a mood for a pumpkin beer and this is all you can find/afford, or if you want something light bodied thatíll go down easy. Grab a Sam Adams Harvest Pumpkin Ale instead if all else is equal, though-- much fuller more flavorful taste.

I like this beer because of what it is. It isnít a pumpkin beer, it is a wheat beer brewed with pumpkin and it even says it on the bottle. Still maintains a nice wheat backbone with accents of pumpkin and spices. A nice offering and definitely a change of pace from you may be used to with pumpkin brews.

Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat is a cloudy, turbulent amber ale. The bubbles continually replenish a thin, swirling white film on the surface of it. Pumpkin and wheat are both present in the aroma, along with nutmeg and allspice. Itís medium bodied, foamy and bubbly on the tongue. It leaves the mouth a little chalky. Itís lightly flavored with lemony wheat. The spices come in later and the flavor and push it to be more savory. A light, green bitterness lingers after the swallow. This is kind of neat. Itís like an American take on a dunkelweizen. The pumpkin isnít readily detectable. This is a nice autumn flavor for a beer.

12 oz. bottle from Caponeís. Copper pour with 1-finger off-white head. Decent look. Nose is authentic pumpkin aroma, pumpkin puree, spice, some caramel, cinnamon. Tastes medium in palate, somewhat sweet, with a half decent pumpkin flavor, but a bit underwhelming in the complexity and body heft arenas. Refreshing, but not a world class pumpkin ale.

Pumpkin, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg..... Yuck. Definitely not a good combination for a brew.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours light orange with small off-white head. Little lacing, medium carbonation, medium body, and light pumpkin aroma. Taste is pumpkin, nutmeg, clove, and a hint of banana. A descent AB product.

Clear golden amber, small white head, goes away quick... lightly spicy some pumpkin, nutmeg, light cinnamon.. thin, light flavor, some light spice, light pumpkin, nice aftertaste...
